Who wouldn't want to be like these models? Isn't the whole point of "normal" people going to gyms is so that they may look half as good as these "models"? Great ad and smart campaign since its aimed at the primary customer base of wealthy yuppies.
@VonNietzsche voluptuous: full of, characterized by, or ministering to indulgence in luxury, pleasure, and sensuous enjoyment: correct me if im wrong, but that sounds rather nice. Thanks for your kind words :)
What this says to me is that all of your clients should want to be wealthy, Caucasian, and look like models. Sure, we all want wealth, but are these the only standards that the rest of us average people are supposed to aspire too when it comes to working out and being fit??? I think not! I would never trade an athletic build for the horribly skinny fat women they have in this here video. They are all beautiful, but not examples to be put up as the epitome of health and fitness.
This video seems to emphasize what most people -- particularly non-members -- dislike about Equinox's image, and somewhat more broadly about gyms in general. Your members tend to be wealthier and more aspirational than the average bear, but the majority of them are regular people who go to your clubs to work out, and not to be judged by these standards. I would be all for this video if you were ralph lauren or a lingerie company, but i think for a gym you are off target with this type of ad.
its art, nothing else. And i like this.

It's frustrating to know that one's ever increasing membership fee is being used to indulge some advertising officer's rich people porn fantasy.

really? athletic socks on a skeletal leg doesn't make an athlete. stick with stuff like the yoga by equinox video. that's true fitness.

I can't see Terry in this Pics. It's just another boring perfect fashion shoot.

@kramer1lad While you sound like a jealous voluptuous stalker. Great ad and campaign.

@VonNietzsche yes thank you, i am quite voluptuous. Us faukland islanders are much more attractive
kramer1lad 1 month ago
@kramer1lad Well I guess Fauklanders have limited vocabulary, since voluptuous isn't a compliment.

If this is LIFE,then I don't want it. This does NOT inspire me. This is sexist, elitist and I'm surprised you would allow this treatment. Blech.

These women do NOT look healthy, they look starved, and not physically fit in any sense of the word! Pathetic, pandering video ...just yuk.

@customdzn1 I totally agree with you. It's so disappointing.
