Never understood why ESRB thought this censor was good enough. The only change is some polarization and decoloration with a red filter, but you could still completely see what the hell is happening. Nothing changed except for a red screen.

In regards to mongols comment, there is always a way around the censoring. I'm currently playing manhunt 2 on my wii uncensored. Ocarina + cheat enabled allows for that crappy red + white flash censoring to be removed. Man is this game good!

In my opinion, the realistic violence and horror in movies is far worse then that of the animation of pixels in a game. Those who see it differently don't understand gaming at all.

Pretty much what RockstarWatch said. If a game is "too violent", it will be assigned an AO rating by the Entertainment Software Rating Board, effectively preventing them from selling the game as most retail vendors refuse to carry AO rated games.

Manhunt 1 was M in American, banned in the UK and Australia however. The problem was that Manhunt 2's graphics are a lot better too that of Manhunt 1's. Also, Rockstar don't usually tame down games, they usually push the boundary's, that's kind of the Rockstar way. Bringing new ideas and sometimes more graphic game player, just like movies they are maturing. But yes, we can see where you are coming from, and in some ways Manhunt 2 was toned down with the addition of the filter for execution's.
