  • The deadlift in all of its variants is simply an excellent all-over exercise, possibly better than the squat for some of us. My only "big" exercises are a Health Lift (call it a partial deadlift to lockout) and the Harness Squat. I've put on about 15 lbs. of muscle in 5 months with one set per session, one session every 4-6 days, set of 16-~25 reps.

    The Trap Bar/Shrug Bar is also a winner.

  • Its kinda silly to make the excuse (use of the word "but) that the player is so young (I myself did 160kg at 17). Even with light weight it is beneficial to the player to do that... this is a demo of deadlift after all, correct?
