Anyone who takes any time to study Manson knows that Manson DOES NOT want to leave jail. He has said that many times and he's also said that jail is the only home he's ever really known and would not know what to do outside other than sit in the grass next to the jail. I'm sure he will stay in jail until the day he dies in jail.

Perhaps so. He certainly lacked any caring upbringing or timely psychological treatment. This really hinges on the estimation (or underestimation) of the vulnerability of people on classic Woodstock Era LSD, a VERY misunderstood extremely strong hallucinogenic drug and then the intent of a mentally ill guy around them who's not always eating it while he's giving out orders to murder. But no matter what, Manson himself wishes to be in jail for life and that's the way it's going to be regardless.

I understand how you can feel...well, atleast am trying to understand what its like to be a father. But you see, that was over 40 years ago and mourning over it, and constantly going to the hearing and such and all of that other stuff is not going to bring her sister or her unborn child back. probably he didn't show up because he knew he wasn't going to get out. He's been denied 10 times before that he probably thought 'well it's not like I'm getting out this time' and didn't go.

The really weird thing is...Manson has never wanted to get out of jail. It's all he has ever known as his home. First time he was set free for a lesser crime back before the murders, he asked the warden if he could please stay in. He got exactly what he wanted...Jail with no death penalty.

LSD is major to this story and is still to this day a very misunderstood and powerful drug phenomena. Manson gave it out but yet was not always taking it himself as he made his creative impressions and gave task. That's a real significant factor. I wouldn't be surprised if terrorist camps use it to condition minds. Thanks in part to Manson, good scientist in the USA are not even allowed to have LSD for important studies when ALL drugs should be studied. All drugs have a good use or a bad use.
