The staff will love you no matter what. Just talk to us and hang out. There is a lot of other stuff to do there besides skate. Swim, take a canoe out, go on a hike, campfire skits, Elemental Awareness. You should come up with some goals of getting better at skateboarding, but either way, you should have a good time.

You can bring extra decks if you want, just don't leave them laying around! There are boards you can buy at the skate shop as well. Some nice camp graphic Element boards to remember camp by.

It is an hour east of Fresno, California, USA. Not sure the price this summer, but it costs around $800 for a week stay. Sunday to Friday. Google skate camp and the website should be the first thing that pops up.

@beastieboygurl7 There are 3 weeks in the middle of the summer where girls come up to camp. One week there were 7 girls (full cabin). Cabins hold 8 people, 7 campers and one counselor. I don't think there was ever a week when there was only one girl...

Dude, when you turn 16 you could get a job up there doing dishes or maintenance (bathroom duty) work for the whole summer. It kinda sucks though. When you turn 18 you can apply to be a counselor. Good luck impressing the director whoever it may be at that time!

Element YMCA Skate Camp starts up around mid June and ends mid August. It cost somewhere between $725 and $845 in 2009 depending on how much you feel like donating to the YMCA.
