awful - simply awful - 90% of the time you can't understand one word he sings. I saw Supernova here in NYC and it was excruciatingly bad. Jason Newsted didn't even bother to tour with the band - he saw the writing on the wall. The tour got canceled halfway through because people were walking out and ticket sales plummeted once word spread. From what I was told by someone on the show - Jason wanted Delana Smith but was out voted by Tommy and Gilby.
Jason Newsted had an amp head fall on him at the beginning of the tour and had to have surgery. He didn't tour because he was recovering and under went rehabilitation.
how convenient...um I was a professional bass player in my day and I'd like to know how an amp head fell on him. Even a full Ampeg stack with the 8x10 cabinet is only about 5'8" high. A double headed stack would be about 6'2" high. Unless he suddenly shrunk to 5'2" or they were suspended from the ceiling I can't see how an amp head fell on him.
