@MrUrnightmare S-video is just an alternate video cable than the composite cable. Just plug in the red and white cables into the easycap along with the s-video. Don't plug in the yellow cable.

You can play in 480i whilst recording which is why the bullets sometimes look different in the bottom right corner to how they usually would in full HD, it takes a bit of getting used to but you will get bullshitted sometimes where the quality fucks you up as you can't see as much as you would in HD. Personally it's the reason I don't record, I just get people with HD PVR's to record my competitive game play for me.

@Majourpainee Man video editing programs gie you a huge file when youre done even if it's just a couple of minutes. Just convert it to a new format or the sae with a lower bitrate. I recommend SUPER Video Converter.

I think it's because he's probably playing in 480i on an HD TV. If your playing in 720p-1080p on a HDTV it will look normal same as if you play on a standard definition TV and playing in Pal50 (whatever it is) will also look normal. When you play in 480i on a HDTV it does that for some reason, have no idea but it does the same for me, kind of hard to explain but I hope that helps.

Hmm. I capture it in "DVD". It gives me the best quality out of them all. But i use the AV cables to record, not S-Video, maybe that has something to do with it being better on DVD. Did you have to buy the s-video xbox 360 cables? Mine never came with an s-video, just the AV/Component cables.

@GAM522 You have to set your console to widescreen, even if you have a standard definition. Go to the dashboard, select System Settings, Console Settings, Display, Screen Format, and select widescreen. That will get rid of the "black bars".

EasyCap is the same as dazzle. Zazzle just has a TINNY bit better audio. so they charge an extra $60 then for Easycap. My EasyCap recordes in ALMOST HD quality.

It may be because you recorded with composite. I recorded with S-Video. Also, set your PS3 to widescreen format. Also, try touching up the brightness and contrast, and sharpness.

All you have to do is render the video in a widescreen aspect ratio. You can do this with lots of video editing programs. Like Sony Vegas. That's what I use. Look at some tutorials on YouTube on how to fill the screen to widescreen.
