  • Beautiful a called Dodge omni in France Simca Horizon

  • ever interested in selling.. message me

  • over here in england they were called Talbot Horizon's and they had crappy tiny rattly french engines and came i hideous greens and beiges .god just thinking of them makes me shudder.we brits always got the shit end of the stick when it came to engines etc.

  • Cody, I don't doubt you for a moment. I've had problems with small stuff like door handles and that irritating little piece of plastic that kept breaking in my shifter, but I've NEVER been able to kill a Chrysler built engine. As far as I'm concerned, Chrysler builds the best engines and transmissions...period

  • Bother has a 79 with only 59000 miles, runs like a top, no rust mint condition

  • Great Video, i was wondering about you opinions..... is the omni a good car, i mean as in gas milege, appeal, and sturdy. would appreciate your feed back

  • What year is this Omni?

  • Was the Dodge Omni better than the Dodge Neon? Or are they both marginal quality cars?

  • LOL

As a MOPAR mechanic...in the 90's the 420a engine (sohc neon engine) had bad head gaskets which went out after 60k miles. The engines we also found in the Stratus/Breeze. That's what gave moapr the bad rep.

People on the internet giving false infomation...

  • Nice check out mine

  • Did the Dodge Omni ever come with a chime or just a buzzer?

  • Could you kindly do a startup video of your 1978 Plymouth Horizon without your seatbelt on so that the hilarious buzzer sounds?

  • Sweet car. I have a blue 1990 Dodge Omni 5 speed 2.2L(350,000+ miles) that I got after my 1979 Plymouth Horizon was hit by another car and had to be replaced. I use a VW Jetta as my daily driver but love my Omni just for the "fun to drive" factor.

  • My 1979 and 1990 are both four door models. I had friends who had the two door models too. You can see pictures on my website

  • I can't put the link in but you can find my page by googling "yost1" or "yost" and "latin" and look under "Horizon Story"

  • @recordgeek13 was the 79 any good? I Have a 78 Horizon

  • @jakesaintsrow123 I really liked the 79. It had the 1.7 VW engine with the Chrysler automatic. It was reliable and good on gas, but a little loud over 55 mph. It had over 128,000 miles when I was hit from behind by an old couple in a Chevy. Their car was totalled. The insurance paid me $300 more than what I had originally bought the car for years before. I drove mine for another year but the frame was bent. I couldn't afford to fix it so I traded it in on a used Dodge Lancer (for $1,000).

  • What year is this Dodge Omni since it has the buzzer?

  • Hello. My dodge omni is made in 1989. This buzzer is orginal part.
