  • what were they playing at the end? i never heard that sounded. awesome

  • When they played this at the brew in SLO California, he was belting "These modern things we know.... getting you off" it was awesome...

  • look at ant on that cokee ahaha. or not i could just be talkin shit. i love that man. <33

  • i just got yltfos os kaeps tattoo'd because this is there best song ever

  • this gave me chills. i wanna see this song live so bad.

  • shit! Circa's got a song from the book?

    FUCKING AWESOME BOOK. <3

So fucked up, in a beautiful way.

  • most epic song ever written. hands down.

  • this is officially my favorite circa survive song now. i mean holy fuck, its so damn relaxed lol, look at colin, dude looks like hes gonna go into a coma lol. good tunes.

  • someone email me the track to this without the song before it.....im trying to have sex to it.

  • just split the two into two tracks. you can do it on itunes i believe. i'm rooting for you

  • I don't know why I realized this just now... but is it just me or does Colin look a lot like Tom Morello on stage, especially in this video? (Granted, a lot of it probably has to do with a similar taste in clothing)

  • yessss!!!

    i have noticed that tooo!!!!!!

    sepically with the head banging!!!

  • i dont understand why colin and brendan havent achieved a nationally recognized "tom morello" status. i think the guitar work they do in circa is just as innovative and honestly theyre not many other bands that have guitarists who do what these guys do

theres almost no rhyme or reason to their stream of consciousness style of guitar playing but at the same time, it always falls perfectly in place and never ceases to amaze me

anyone else have this same opinion?

  • I agree with you on one level. However, I do understand why they aren't as nationally recognized; it's simply because Circa Survive is nowhere near as huge as Rage was/is.

The other thing is that Circa's guitars are much more buried in the mix of their songs than Tom's guitar is in Rage - in that case he's what drives the entire song. In my opinion that's neither a positive or negative thing by itself, it's just much different. To me they're both equally important to the music of their bands.

  • yea i totally agree. what colin and brendan do has much more beauty and subtlety than the in your face agression of toms playing

  • @brians1398 its because their guitar playing isn't very technical... it's a lot of sweeping dissonance and chords, you're not going to be recognized as a badass guitar player if you can't shred, sorry. it's not going to happen. plus, it doesn't translate well live sometimes. i'd rather listen to josh homme or omar rodriguez-lopez rip the fuck out of a solo. not that i don't love circa survive, but its really not about guitar ability

  • yea man i totally know exactly what your talkin about. shredding just isnt a part of the circa style, their just much more mellow and ambient in a different category of music

    all is very good =)

  • @jsteeez Judging music based on it's "technicality" is pretty stupid. You might as well listen to computer generated music if that's what you're after. Making something that sounds so good it consumes your fucking SOUL (like this) should be what people consider good music imo. Anyone can get crazy technical ability if they sit there practicing it all day but not anyone can channel whatever fucked up force you need to make something sound like this...

  • this song gives me goosebumps....

    Circa is love <3

  • AHH!! NO!!! Keep it rolling! Freaking sweet ending!

  • amazing

    nice video!

  • yltfoS os kaepS

  • is this a reference to Mark Danielewsky's book?

  • yes.

  • such a awesome book... a freaking mindscrew of a novel. That kind of makes Circa Survives cool points go up in my book

    now i knoww.

    :]]

  • holy shit, fucking awesome song! thanks for posting!

  • it's at 8:57 of Meet Me in Montauk on Juturna.

  • yeah this isn't on july 31st at slims...i was there.

this isnt it. great video though.

  • Thats not slim's boy-o.

  • is house of leaves the name of the song or the tour?

i cant find this song anywhere

  • "House of Leaves" is the name of this awesome song. The tour is called "the twilight army tour." This song is on Juturna, but it's a bonus track. So it's attached to the end of "Meet Me in Montauk"...during the last (about) 6 mins of the song.

Kudos! to the person who taped this, the sound quality is awesome.
