  • good music doesn't revolve around the radio. they made this thing called cd's or ipod's. there pretty good at playing the music you wanna hear.

  • @craizedkiller69 I disagree. Back in the day, good music came from the radio because talent was alive back then. Nowadays is shitty music.

  • I like the studio version a lot more, but this video is too cool

  • I love how people say music is "dead". What the FUCK? Nobody's forcing you to listen to crappy ass music and you have the complete freedom to listen to whatever the fuck you want. Good music doesn't revolve around your damn opinion.

    Your music is dead.

But I'm different promise that... if u give me a chance ill show u

  • Can i kick lil wayne?

    Yes, everyone can.

  • a lot of newer rap is crap, some of it is pretty good, but most of it will never even come close to matching the quality of this.

  • i wish i could go back i love the music

  • i love this song, Q-Tip is killer.

why does new rap have to be shit?

  • is that Posdnuos of de la soul at 2:16?

  • KMD was ill. Anyone who doubts that fails as a person.

  • I think the reason this song is so good is that the beat was kept simple. ATCQ is inspiring to me. I don't want to be that person but if you have a quick second, I would be humbled for you to rate comment subscribe or just view my music. I record with a cheap microphone and I am not rich but I do put a lot into my music. Thank you, have a great day youtuber.

  • YES CHU CAN

  • the video was dubbed with the boilerhouse mix of this song.

it's the official video and audio of the video, guess Tip and the boys felt it fit the video better. personally I disagree, but just letting you guys know the uploader didn't do it himself

  • Well imo, this version is better for like. actually getting up an dancing. better for getting the crowd moving in a live performance. The other version is better for. well, actually kicking it. Its slow and more relaxed

  • So....... Tell Me Exactly What's Wrong With This Verison... Just Cuz Its Not The Album Verison Dosent Mean It Aint Good... Actually This Verison Is The Best One I've Heard... And It Matches The Video So Well

  • Tight. Reminds me of KMD.

  • @AtomIsQuo Doom/KMD suck in comparision to Tribe, don't see any resemblance.

  • @KryptonDaVillain KMD and Tribe's sound is pretty similar. And as for who's best, well, that's subjective man.

  • @AtomIsQuo A'ight, a'ight. KMD still suck ass though.

  • I love this

  • 87 people cant kick it

  • Lil Wayne: Can I Kick It?

    ATCQ: No, You can't.

Wiz Khalifa: Can I kick IT?

ATCQ: WHO DA FUCK ARE U??

  • @tkwk1433 Trugoy: Can I kick it?

    ATCQ: HELL YEAH

  • when was this made?

  • what the hell? this isn't the right version...

  • In about 50 years from now lil wayne is going to be old school music and a tribe called quest is going to be classical music.

I didn't even come to listen to this song I just came to post this...

  • @D4sxysrb 50 years from now Wayne will be forgotten completely . Lets be real, he's famous strictly off popularity and not because he ever really brought anything of value to this art form. Wayne aint gonna be "old school" hes gonna be NO school. Watch.

  • @StylizerOne sounds hot to me...

  • @StylizerOne no wait…. yeah… i hear it… it's off

  • @StylizerOne Yeah, it sounds like shit.

  • @StylizerOne thats really pissin me off

  • @StylizerOne the album version is definatley mixed better

  • @StylizerOne Can I KICK it?

  • @StylizerOne I hear it. really sucks adding something to a classic. and its really badly done to. the greatness of the sound is that it was smaples from an LP. this is just weird to listen to. some nimrod thinks he can make a classic better but he's ffing it up. 'this track really HAD a lot of flavor

  • @StylizerOne It's the "Spirits Mix" by Q-Tip. It's the original video version. I personally always liked this version over the Album version and the "Boilerhouse" remix

  • @StylizerOne yeah and it fucks it

  • @StylizerOne Because someone's kickin' it homie.

  • i like the version where the bass rocks a little harder in the verse but this is still solid :D

  • @aero105 Lol I like this version better bcuz it has more jazz...do you know if this version is available any where?

  • They inspired me to start making music with actual instruments instead all this digital stuff everybody has going on these days. Just made an album, check it out on my page.

  • if i could ' LIKE " a million time that still wouldnt be enough

  • It's like Odd Future but more real.

  • yo whats good...im 18 from VA and old school hip hop has really influenced my rapping. check my channel out, ive been getting alot of good feedback so far, ive only been posting videos for a week. you wont be disappointed!

  • the bassline at 1:50 is from Lou Reed's "A walk on the wild side" 1972

  • a dj played this at a mac miller was when chorus went down i screamed "yes you can" so hard i was the only one doesnt anyone know their hip hop anymore?

everyone says mac miller was terrible but he kept it old school for most of his set no one understands real hip hop anyone its sad

  • @therealbrooksie yoo i was there too! i was boppin my head doin the chorus too and my friends are like whos beat is this? and i said a tribe they said tribe? tribe called quest. THey never heard of them. damn shame. no appreciation for 90's rap.

  • @PersonallyPro tell me about it everyone wants to listen to young money not real shit like this

  • Comment removed

  • Real dope loops and breaks. Atq is dope!

  • 83 people just can't kick it.

  • theres a documentry of them going through select theatres

  • Sigh. The album version of this song is infinitely better.

  • quite alright

  • 83 people disliked this... sorry i have no punch line :(

  • My favorite part is how none of their pants are sagging... because they don't want to get raped up the ass.

  • Damnit I hate this remix. The original is so much better

  • to be honest, this is one of my least favorite tribe songs.

  • no one said slick rick!!!

  • The documentary about them that just came out is awsome it made them my favorite rap group forever

  • anyone else to go see thier movie?

  • feel free drop your pants jack your hey ya

    lool

  • The Wackness!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the song is greatest but i don`t like the video

    very good

  • "Naughty By Nature", "De La Soul", "Public Enemy" & "A Tribe Called Quest" = oldschool rap deluxe! .-)

  • @fortheloveoftunes

    No..

Eric B & Rakim, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, NWA, THATS old school.

  • @MeAgainstTheRadio "Grandmaster Flash" "Run-DMC" bro

  • @fortheloveoftunes

    yeah i forgot those lol.

im just trying to point out tht the new school emerged after Run DMC (85 ish)

  • This is a different version than what's on the album, and this version sounds awful, really cheesy things they added.
