Kids in 3rd world countries suffering with broken and infected teeth every day would PRAY for the dental care you are crying about. Be thankful for what you have kid.
@bunkman64 I am thankful. I just don't want to pay them my hard earned money for a mediocre job when they said I was a perfect candidate for the procedure.
The color does look good, but getting the color right isn't that difficult when you have white teeth like yours. If you're unhappy with the cap placed over the implant, you really should complain to the doctor. I'm sure you or your insurance paid at least $2000 for that (more likely $3000 or more). Doctors are no different than any other service provider, you have a right to expect reasonable results when you pay for a service.
Makes sense. I just wonder why such a long wait between taking the tooth out and placing the implant. Baby teeth usually have small roots and even if they are large they are thin so you have enough bone to put an implant the same day you extract it usually. It looks like you have a single stage implant, placing it deeper or using a bone level implant would have made the tooth look better. In doing that you could have used a zirconium abutment so it does not look grey at the gumline.
Temporary crowns usually look mediocre to bad. If its the permanent I would be concerned. You also have to look at what was there before, was it the primary "baby" tooth, if so then the tooth will look awkward compared to the other side since it will be wider. I had a similar situation where a patient lost a tooth, had it missing for over 10 years, her teeth shifted making the space larger and when we finally put the crown in she had a grumbling or two about its larger appearance.
@implantdoc79 I got the baby tooth removed October 2010 and got the implant in August 2011. My dentist said the space was filling up with my upper tooth falling into it and they had trouble making a very tiny tooth to fit in the space.
