David Byron is fucking fantastic. Listen to Uriah Heep's song Pilgrim, and towards the end, it's seriously wicked, evil and even heavy for a band like Uriah Heep.
@alconsirra He's the lead singer of Uriah Heep, a progressive/blues/folk rock band from the early 70's..if u lsn to Uriah Heep's first record " Very 'Eavy Very 'Umble" particularly on the track Gypsy..ull notice how King Diamond developed his taste for a theatrical vocal style
@laithlaith91 ...not to mention the song 'the magician's birthday', at the end. Definitely you can hear the 'King Diamond' in that song. I'd actually love to hear King Diamond do a cover of a Uriah Heep song. Which one would you guys pick?
@joserpm for sure man, hearing King sing a Heepster song wud b killer, id personally like to hear him sing Gypsy or Real Turned On from the first album or Bird Of Prey or Lady In Black or sumthing from Demons And Wizards, he wud sound great i think with his style singing Heep songs
His statement about religion is so true. if your happy, feeling good about life, etc etc, he is 100 percent correct, King is a smart guy, and a helluva vocalist. LONG LIVE KING DIAMOND!!
It's just too bad that most people around here are religious fanatics, who try to change people who don't believe what they believe 100%. I despise such fascists.
He seems like a down to earth guy, his religious statement has to be one of the most human & intelligent things to convey about human interaction & making the world a better place.
Conspiracy is the Album the Song is Sleepless nights here is asnip it of the lyrics m8. Then let us make You an eternal deal You will attend to the graves You'll give us the house back and keep in mind that we only come here at night". So we made the deal under the starry night and "AMON" belongs to "THEM" now... I feel the dawn coming My way And as the sun breaks up the dark I can't hear "THEM" dance no more There's no voices killing the pain...pain...pain
LOL I saw grandma come out on stage, at lamours in NY. It was awesome.

It is rather fascinating to match this unassuming little guy being interviewed to the magnificent genius that is King Diamond.

I was glad to hear that his greatest influence of singing was mr David Byron from Uriah Heep.
Than group has been a favourite of mine among with Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and other groups from the 70:s to name a few.
I think that there is one Sabbath song that would suit mr King Dimaond to do a cover out of.
The song is "Disturbing the priest" from the 1983 album Born again with Ian Gillan on vocals.
Is there anyway for someone to suggest it for him?
