  • These dogs were sacrificed for the greater good of the human species. I feel happy for the fact that their lifes were usefull, more usefull than the lifes on some humans actually. If there is such thing as heaven, i belive thats were they are.

  • that is no fake

  • It's real. Right around the time that the two headed dog was created

  • SOOOOOOOOOO FAKE

  • its dead. all they do is pump electricity into their nerves and thus reacts to stimuli.

  • @semicolonxp Not true. When it licks its' tongue,it would have to have blood circulated threw it to move it. The reason for that would the fact that a mere stimuli could not have influenced the muscle movement that much.

  • This is HORRIBLE but fake. A dog couldn't move its head like that when it has so body or neck. FAKE

  • @wwjda333 actually you can. during the french guillotine scare i forgot the guys name but he went to the guillotine simply to perform a study. he wanted to be decapitated and when he was he would blink for as long as he could remain conscious. he blinked for like 13 seconds after decapitation before finally dying.

  • @theSicilianToe

That was a good story haha.

    1. NO-ONE dies to perform a study, you never know the result..

    2. When the brain loose bloodpressure it blacks out in 1-2 seconds

    3. Have some source critisism

  • @Jellyflesh "the scientist was the pioneering French chemist Antoine Lavoisier, who was beheaded during the Reign of Terror in 1794."

  • @Jellyflesh and youre full of shit. people can go on blinking for up to 30 seconds after decapitation. this is not hidden knowledge. do your own research, this is youtube. and lots of people have died to perform a studies. not everbody is a pussy like you and sees things as higher causes then themselves. people BLOW THEMSELVES UP over fairy tales when they could get an inflatable doll to blow up in their place.

  • @theSicilianToe

    Thank you for the info

Well then he was being executed, not simply to do a study as you wrote...right?

Im interested in your source for his blink study

Blinking for 30s, how do you know its on purpose and not reflexes?

    Hard to ask him..

  • @Jellyflesh because before going to the guillotine he said he would blink for as long as he remained conscious and then he blinked 13 times before stopping. other people have been reported to blink for up to 30 times before stopping.

ever see faces of death? there are snuff videos there of people like the mexican drug cartels or the taliban sawing off peoples heads. people do a lot when they have no head.... its really weird and creepy.

  • My great aunt looked for her white dog, until the day she died. Now she is being filmed, doing the same thing.

  • @jigreelo you mean that's her dog??

  • The dog would need neck muscles to move its head like that...

  • this doesnt make sense at all

  • Музыка удачно подобрана!

  • Why such unfitting music???

  • If his head was cut off,how could he move his head when they bang the hammer? FAKE

  • @roro879 why dont you cut of you're head and find out?

  • @uglydollsinc123 fuck you punk ass bitch

  • @roro879 you dont have to get so mad.

  • @roro879 The neck is still partially there, so he/she can still perform jerks with the head, the rest of the dog is connected to an artificial spinal cord + oxygen/nutrient supply; probably which allows the Dogs head to function properly.

  • why?

  • CS Lewis: That Hideous Strength, if you know it you know what im talking about

  • I think this is pretty cool. Imagine if we could refine this for human.

  • Damn Soviets, YOU SCARY!

  • I'm calling shenanigans. The dog in the video is NOT decapitated. His body is below the tray his head is "sitting" on. First, when they put the stuff on his nose, he licks his nose. The tongue is a VERY long organ that goes down the back of the throat. If the dog was decapitated, he wouldn't have enough tongue to force the tip up to his nose. Second, when the hammer bangs on the table, the dog's head lifts an inch. A decapitated head can't lift because it's not attached to anything!

  • Comment removed

  • @HumbleWillis

You could just shorten your comment down to "I'm calling shenanigans because i'm a god damn retard who can't do his homework before commenting on an authentic and well known scientific study".

  • @HarrisonRocks Actually you're both wrong and both right. Soviet scientists did indeed successfully make this experiment, but the above video has been proven by most analysts to be just a simulation of what their experiment was like, as the head can't actually move like that without neck muscles, and the loss of pressure would kill it without the proper equipment. Besides that, I really don't know why they didn't film the actual experiment, as it lead to huge medical advancements.

  • Just to point out to everyone freaking out about this video, I don't condone this sort of thing, but you have to realize that this was made back in like the 1940's, also, ever think of how they test pacemakers and artificial lungs and other synthetic organs to see if they work? Once again, I don't support this sort of thing, but it happens either way :/

  • @molonate long ago that was the source of insulin now it is chemically made how old are the books you read update your library and any way things like this needed to be done for modern medicine but what you see in the video disnt help but in the parts previous to this one real science was done

  • Man cant become god . God makes what is not, be. Can man achieve the same feat

And god will not punish man now. but on the day of resurrection he will chose what he sees fit he will weigh you actions. your body will testify with or against you but you as a soul will not say a thing then god will send you where he sees fit . He will not punish man now.

  • fuuuuuuck USA

  • if you really think about it, we as united beings ARE god, we controll when and how we or another dies, think about it,

  • if god were real he would have punished us along time ago, sadly we are the masters of our own existence, these scientists are merely trying to help us live longer lives, have some respect you simple minded fools

  • @Osiristhedark1 just because you don't believe in him doesn't mean you have to insult people about it.

  • I could have done without the music.

  • Comment removed

  • God gave us brains to be more intellegent then other organisms on earth... not to use it to become god himself.

  • I wish you a slow and painful death

  • Weirdest thing i've ever seen....

  • how cruel

  • Why do people get so mad about something that happened long ago? Society has advanced and we don't treat animals this way any more. Yes, it is sad/interesting whatever, but there is no point dwelling on something you can't do anything about.

  • @molonate "we don't treat animals this way any more". Unfortunately you are wrong. Do some research. Experiments like this and worse go on all the time in thousands of labs all over the world. Check out the PETA website for starters.

  • @5micky2 I actually do do research. And PETA is not a very good organization. One of the main people that work for PETA is diabetic. Do you know where insulin comes from? Animals. Ironic. Despite this fact, there are ethical laws in place for the humanity of animals. It means that the use of non human animals must be monitored by a person who is experience in taking care of them, and a vet must be present at all times. The facilities are regulated by the National Institute of Health,

  • @5micky2 As well as by federal, state, and local laws. APA guidelines direct researches to make "reasonable efforts to minimize discomfort, infection, illness, and pain of animal participants." and requires the researcher to justify the use of all procedures that involve more than momentary or slight pain to the animal. If anybody is being harmful now, they are doing it wrong. But, PETA isn't a very good reference, despite what they stand for.

  • @5micky2 More than 900 chimpanzees are imprisoned in U.S. laboratories, where they are forced to endure invasive procedures and fear, loneliness, and pain.

The U.S. is the only nation that continues to conduct invasive experiments on chimpanzees. Many of these chimpanzees have been intentionally infected with diseases such as HIV and hepatitis—even though scientists agree they are archaic and unreliable models for researching human illnesses.

  • why did u put this stupid ass song to this video?

  • I swear to god the dog was like that when I bought it.

  • i fucking hate whoever likes this

  • I hate humans, really;

  • @Macacossaodomau Your a human u fucking idiot.

  • @commando414 perfect comment : I like you !!!

  • @commando414 you're

  • @Macacossaodomau Me too. I hate everything they do and everything they've become. I try my best not to act like a normal human being absently destroying the world on a daily basis.

  • sick

  • i thought this would only be possible in movies...but pplease people listen...if these doctors/scientists did not stiudy this then thousands of people who wouldve needed transplant wouldve died. These dogs LIVED. They are not killing them. They are practising and seeing how to successfully make a transplant so that people who need one will still live.

  • @XxTheRaverSurviverxX yeah ofc the road to science is not easy

no doubt many will hurt on the way...

  • @XxTheRaverSurviverxX are you telling me that that shit couldnt have been figured out by HELPING people that needed it?

  • @theSicilianToe Back then they DIDNT know how to do perform a proper and safe transplant. If they had helped the patients with no knowledge the person could've died. Would you rather the scientists practicing on a dog knowing that they will save a life or them failing therefore being you death with no knowledge

  • @XxTheRaverSurviverxX i dont think intentionally seeking to do harm to anything is right. someday things like this will be illegal, thinks like slaughter houses will also be illegal someday. just because you can it doesnt mean you have too.

  • @XxTheRaverSurviverxX this is also about ethics. its a fine line between a dog and a human. look at Unit 731. they thought they were helping their own people doing what they did - does that make it right? or is it because this is only a dog and it cant cry out for help that you think it is acceptable behavior from an intelligent species that should know better?

  • @XxTheRaverSurviverxX who...who would need a transplant like this?! A head transplant?! Or like that bloody X Files movie where a dude prolongs his life by grafting his head on other peoples' bodies?!?

  • oh yeah its so interesting! lets see how much fun it is when YOUR body is dismembered and disected while you watch some sick bastard poke you and torment your living corpse!

  • I can't stop laughing at this video no matter how many times I see it.

  • I don't understand how they can be so nice to the dog and then do those horrific things to it.

What sort of cold minds must those scientists have had?

  • @pumpkinwolf yep

  • That is horrible

  • this is fuck up

  • Az is hülye volt aki kitalàlta, meg az is aki ilyet felvesz.

  • You guys. This is FAKE. It has been PROVEN FAKE. Fuck.

  • "I think we can put our differences behind us, for science. You monster."

    GlaDOS at Portal 2.

  • MOTHER FU***R A******

  • Just a short Message:

While i do see a degree of cruelty in the video, people must understand that due to theese kind of experiments man was able to make the machines that keep your heart pumping, if it fails in the hospital and/or during operations and prove that it was safe to do so! So yeah its cruel to those few dogs that die, but 50 years later 1000' s if not 10' s of 1000' s of lifes over the globe where probably saved due to theese auto-blood pump machines. Keep that in mind people.

  • @slayer2961 Suffering should take greater priority over indefinite self-replication.

You should stop making humans before you horribly mane and torture other feeling organisms to sustain their comfort.

  • @IdaMiaDot Who makes humans where? This was one of the blood pump experiments... Theese kind of machines save 1000 ' s of lives. Who are you to judge who shall live and sould die? This is science. In science somtimes animal testing is needed im afraid. And Id rather see a rodent or a pig go over a human. If you are so sick in the head to want to do things like this to actual people then id suggest going to a mental clinic and having yourself checked.

  • @IdaMiaDot NOTIHING sould be done to an extreme and at all costs.... One must set priority to what he finds important.

  • @IdaMiaDot Obviously you should be on your own race's side, human lives are more important than animal lives. I'm not saying it's ok to torture and test something like this with animals nor with actual people, BUT if that research and those animal tests result in making something useful and really helpful, like a machine that can keep a human alive after a serious wound, that can help a patient with full body paralyze or something like that, sacrifices must be made to advance in technology.

  • @Crimsonx93 Lets hope you're not the next sacrificial animal, right?

  • @LadyCypher54 Yeah, let's hope so 8D

  • @Crimsonx93 Why does human life merit the suffering of nonhuman animals?

If life is truly so hideous then humans should stop propagating it - rather than inflicting such horrendous misery on other feeling organisms to help alleviate the burden.

  • @IdaMiaDot Animal experimentation helps advance research in different fields (toxicity or medicine for example) that would otherwise be harmful to human beings and we don't experiment on ourselves because we hold humans in high regard. The last time I remembered when we experimented on ourselves would be Nazism... lets just stick to the animals. (No I'm not trying to be a asshole here)

  • @IdaMiaDot Because i'm a human, not a dog. Of course I prefer to save someone on my own race rather than a frog... If it's possible with those tests, I show green light to those. Sorry if I sound like an asshole, but hey that's just the way I think.

  • How many dogs did it take to get this right?

    Sick fucks.

  • This is just... so cruel... It's scientifically amazing... but it's just so cruel and sickening...

  • This is a pretty cool experiment. Too bad it was such a cute dog though.

  • Сосите америкосы!РОССИЯ БСЕГДА БУДЕТ ПЕРВОЙ!

  • ,it's just a little dog.. why a dog?? you fucking barbarians, why not a different animal? you pieces of shit.

  • @MagicMutilator6000 So what your saying is that if they did it on a different animal, somehow that would make this experiment less cruel? Things as bad as this happen to lab rats on a daily basis.

  • @AirKIng74 a rat is definitely less worthy than a dog is an intelligent specie with emotions and thoughts. A rat is just a rodent it's a lower life form than a dog or a cat

  • @MagicMutilator6000 I'm afraid that you're wrong on that one. Studies show that rats and other rodents are some of the smartest animals on Earth. They have excellent navigation skills and even a little bit of problem solving. I'm not calling dogs dumb, but it takes years of training for dogs to develop such skills, where rats can figure it out on their own. That's why they're such effective pests, they're intelligent.

  • @AirKIng74 Last time i checked any person in the world would rather have a dog as a pet than a rat. A rat is just worthless.

  • @MagicMutilator6000 Thats because the US is full of Rats that live in sewers, other countries dont have those problems and people here dont scream (as if they saw a dinaosaur or something) once they see a rat.

  • @mupp33n rats are just attracted to filth and garbage, bad rats, Bad!

  • @MagicMutilator6000

In his time was science, stop to see abuse everywhere.

  • this made me nauseaus...that poor pup. i mean, scientifically its amazing we have done this, but its so cruel.

  • Comment removed

  • I remember watching the full video of the experiment long ago and if i'm not mistaking they managed to reattach the head and organs back into the body and the dog was able to move and function normally again but he died after a short while (a few days i think).

  • god this is so fucked up and sad as fuck all that dog wanted to do is play fetch and eat treats but instead h bumps into these sick fucks

  • i believe those are reflexes this is bullshit and really cruel

  • although this is shocking, you have to admit your impressed.

  • how could anyone even decapitate a dog? if i was the scientist id be using the child molesters and rapists to decapitate and to play around with like that

  • @ilovedelipickles russians

  • criminal

  • why would they put an innocent animal thru that kind of nonsense.

  • @depressedandangry96 To see if it works on humans, of course

  • horrible idea #: 123,412

  • @dave21england the dog head moves because it retains atleast part of the neck. Try explaining how the dog licked the citric acid(bitter tasting source of vitamin C) off it's lips.

1:14 till 1:17ish clearly shows the head is off the body(unless some very early and clever special effects made it appear that way). As creepy as it is, I believe it's(unfortunatly) real.

  • F***ing messed up

  • Bullshit, fake, the head moves in the table by the force of its neck. How a head without suport can move , even if it life ?

  • shit thats cool

  • @dave21england

put your chin on your desk then open and close you're mouth, then when you are finished stfu

  • does anyone have a link referring to the reanimation process?

  • NO NO NO!!! the dam question is why would want to cut the Dogs Head off to see if you can make it Live? planning on doing this to Humans? if so cut off a Human Head and see if it lives you Idots. Oh sorry I forgot you can go to Prison for that, so you just cut off the Head of an Animal because you won't go to Jail for it, just to see if you can make it live.Great no want to impress me put it back on and make the whole dog live!! now that would be impressive

  • @grndcontrol07 Actually the reason they did this experiment was because they believed they could transplant one person's head onto another person's body (ie one person who died of a brain injury could donate their body to someone else who died with their head intact). They did successfully do this to a chimp but it only lived for a few minutes and it was paralyzed from the neck down.

also this was in the USSR, so they could have done it on a human if the government let them

  • i agree with animal torture to further science now let try this shit on a human please am curious

  • id like to walk it and give it treeaats.

  • I know its science. But This is F##### up !

  • pezzi di merda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • For SCIENCE!

The shown technology is a necessary milestone that today helps to save some *human* lives. However uncanny it is.

  • Okay... WHAT THE FUCK

  • Aww, it's a dog, no one wants to admit it's real. It is though.

  • AGAIN, NOT REAL. IF THIS WAS RUSSIAN, THEN THE WORDS "VENOUS PUMP." AND ARTERIAL PUMP," WOULD BE IN RUSSIAN. AND WHY ARE THE WORDS BEING SPOKEN IN ENGLISH?

  • LOL ... soooo boring fake... how can a head with no neck move like that on 1:20 ??? sorry, is this some kind of joke???

  • @spellord thank you, Also, if this were russian, why wouldn't the writting and voice be in Russian?

  • @spellord too bad it's real

  • @ClubSuperAdventure, for sure there must be many REAL stuff out there on the subject of animal torture... I am totally against that. and I think, yes, people must be shocked. Perhaps this way they would care... ok, BUT THIS ONE here is not shocking, its a poor fake. a ridiculous fake. so ridiculous that is funny at moments.

  • @spellord These men won scientific awards for these procedures. They were not fake. Look into things before you criticize them. Its makes one look like a retard.

  • It's not bored and entertaining. As much as I absolutely HATE seeing things like this, some things have to be done to learn more about the brain. I am an animal rights activist and I find things like this to be sickening-- but there are SO many medical advancements that would have never came to be if tests like these hadn't been conducted. I wish they'd do the tests on people (like criminals i.e. a rapist in prison or a murderer with a life sentence.) but according to the government, that's bad.

  • what the fuck what the fuck arrghhhh

  • THAT IS BECAUSE ANIMALS CAN'T ARGUE OR PROTEST!!!! THEY ARE LOYAL AND NAIVE, JUST LIKE THE SICK IDIOT DOING THIS AND THE BRAIN DEAD BORED PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS IS ENTERTAINING.

    TOTAL DISGRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @PinkLeatherBelt in soviet russia with animals and human not can protest ))

  • @PinkLeatherBelt um, this is fake. If it were real, then as the discription says, this would be in russian, not english. Everybody is sicken by this illusion, but when it come so Hollywood doing it, they make 100's of millions of dollars and people love it. NOT REAL. This is as real as that mother, her 2 kids, and all the flour.

  • @Abonanno24601

They did an english version. Google 'Experiments in the Revival of Organisms'

  • @thisisagothusername the only thing I'll give you is the english. 1. they just spent that whole time explaining the whole procedure but never show the operation. 2. I saw the dogs head move during that video but how? He didn't have a spine. 3. Americans were making videos in those days to vilify the Russians. 4. Why didn't the camera actually do one whole shot from the device all the way to the dog? we don't, we just see a dogs head. Anyways, i like dogs but FAKE!

  • @Abonanno24601 if someone is paralyzed from the neck down they can still move their head...

  • @ducky51786 ok, lets say thats true... THIS DOG HAS NO NECK DOWN! you need a spine in order to move any part of the body. The spine sends the message right to the brain. no spine, no move!

  • @Abonanno24601 Cranial nerves bro - they don't into the spine, they go straight from the brain to the face, tongue, eyes, nose etc - it's real man :( sorry. This is not problematic from a scientific point of view, just an ethical one...

  • @hmspinaforethisisspa Ethics and morals can be changed, that has happened much through the course of history.Think of all the possibilities if this thing works 100% of the time. It might be able to reconnect severed limbs better and so so on and so on. But finding human test subjects might pose a problem, imo such technology should be revisited.

  • @TheGIantR I know, I know - it is very useful and if I had the option to stop it I probably wouldn't... still doesn't stop me feeling damn uncomfortable with it, though...

  • @Abonanno24601 .. You dont need a spine to move your head... Look at the top comment, its fact, and just think about people that are paralysed from the neck down.... they still move their head.

  • @Abonanno24601 actually, no, you're cerebrum is what controls the bosy's movements, and that's a part of your brain. The brain sends signals to the rest of the body, not the other way around. You can move your face if you have no spine. This is why after decapitating a human their eyes can still blink. Whether it's involuntary or not has been subject to debate, but they do know 100% the face can move when decapitated.

  • instant trauma

  • To all people who found it amazing or fascinating: imagine you are just a head and somebody pokes you with feather, bangs with hammer nearby, flash light at your eyes... should I continue, or do you get the picture? Damn, and I found Futurama with heads in jars amusing...

  • @catxborsuq1 Futurerama!

  • We have destroyed God, become death, and have now created life.

    Holy shit.

  • @IAmTheStig320 the fuck you talking about?..

  • @IAmTheStig320 That what does not exist can't be destroyed, but that's a whole different discussion.

  • @IAmTheStig320

I wouldn't call it having created life so much as sustaining life.

The real question is whether or not the specimen was still cognizant of what was occuring or simply a bundle of nerves reacting too stimuli. With the brain supposedly fully intact one would suppose the former but you can't be sure. Wonder if we could use someone like Rob Pickman too test this

On a side note, what does it say about me that I found this purely scientifically fascinating as opposed too horrific?

  • @paulatredies Watch the whole documentary part one and two. When the scientist placed citric acid on the dogs nose it licked it. Does this still count as nervers reacting?

  • @LEGENDxUK

Seeing as citric acid is a mild irritant and licking its nose to remove it is similar to the autonomous reaction of sneezing when one inhales a nose full of spices, it can be chalked up too simple nerves.

  • @IAmTheStig320 stupid animals, god created both your brains and the dogs head, and you use your brains to test

  • @IAmTheStig320 Humans, eh

  • @IAmTheStig320

    isn't science wonderful

PS: nope we have not destroyed or created, we merely reformed

  • @IAmTheStig320 it is still alive

  • I'm amazed but I still feel sorry for the dog. :/ Poor thing.

  • ...I dunno if i should be horrified by this or completely awed. Yes it seems cruel as to what they did to the dog, but then again, if we have this knowledge of how to keep such a vital part of a living body alive without the rest of it, where else can we go with it? How far can we learn to find other breakthroughs in medical science, breakthroughs that could save a person with a chronic, fatal would or disease? Its morbid but fascinating.

  • I'm actually more amazed than disturbed... It really is incredible when you think about it...

  • What the hell is up with the humans. Isn't there enough deformity in the world without us adding to it?

  • this is some fucked up shit

  • How is the dog moving its head about?

  • @deadrisinglord it's not really... No more than you would be able to just by using your neck. Most of it (if not all) is just reflex by what I can see.

  • insane and disgusting...
