The standard today for being a heavyweight in terms of size is insane. Look how much smaller guys were in the Jack Johnson/Dempsey days, or during the golden era of heavyweights in the 70's. A prime Foreman was seen as a mammoth back then, now he's small by comparison.
It's too bad, since it's the smaller heavyweights who still have mobility that put on the best fights.
@BallisticBrawler This was an out of shape Lewis schooling the future dominant heavyweight champion. Lennox was the best and clearly was about to KO Vitali with horrible consequences for his eye if the fight hadnt been stopped. Lennox never won the first four rounds of a fight, but I think history will clearly show that he was the best. Only Ali could lay claim to Lennox as a second best.
Haven't seen it since the night, and though it's by far the bet I've seen of Klitschko, he didn't have Lewis in any where near the trouble I remembered. Lewis looks calm and is always quick to fire back. That was a great second round. The Klit caught Lennox with some of his best shots, straight rights thrown from the shoulder, without knocking him down or even seriously wobbling him. And as the commentary said, Lewis was just getting warmed up. This was Vitali's peak; Lennox was about to retire.

Lewis would have messed him up if another round or two. Lewis was catching his second wind. He'd have been far more prepared in another match up. Lewis was a genius
@ColourboyMarkyboy Absolutely agree. Lewis is up there with the smartest fighters of all time. Another match, he wouldn't have weighed so much, he'd have more time to prepare, he'd be far more determined. It's a shame people overlook his legacy.

Really was a great fight too bad, because of the cut Vitali could have created.
I can well understand why he called the years of Lewis rematch.
But now he should give Solis a rematch that could have been a huge struggle.
Especially since Solis was something even better and a ko was not.
Solis is probably the only one who would have a chance against the Klischkos.

I would have liked Lennox to have given Vitali an immediate rematch and come in better shape, but he didn't feel like it.

Klitchko is predictable.
He only throws 2 the face.If he would vary his attack he would be a lot more effective.
