  • how they mass produce this figure?

  • so sick how the light comes through the ears... these guys pwn america.

  • This figure is commercially available(though almost certainly out of stock) from E-2046 or Hobby Fan.

  • This is awesome. where can I buy this figure?

  • Hand painting is fine on smaller surfaces. Its better for smaller wargaming figures too.

  • hey the guy name is Jiro!! i... i.. i speak japanese!!!! SUGOOEEUOEUOII~!!

  • Why are they not afraid of the paint on their fingers? I hate it when the paint on my fingers get stuck to other finished areas.

  • That airbrush the character is holding looks very cool! Too bad it's fictitious!

  • for some reason I think it be easier to handpaint them figures

  • Easier yes, but for the most professional look his way is the best, and he's doing it to be photographed for advertising the figure. So it has to be perfect.

  • And if you handpaint the figures, the brush texture would be visible. That's why they don't use brushes =3

  • @Foryouchan True for most, not for all. Plus, the truth is that hand brushing techniques for models/miniatures in Japan is generally not that strong. While there are those who can rock it, most can't, and so try to limit the amount of work needed to be done with a paintbrush...

  • @Foryouchan it also covers WAY better

  • @Foryouchan actually you can use a brush but it would be too much of a hassle in getting pretty good leveling paints and layering multiple times on a surface compared to how simple an airbrush can cover the entire surface..and figures are usually given surface color tone gradiation thats why they prefer using airbrush on them since you no longer need to blend lighter tones to the darker tones using a brush which btw is much more harder

  • hand painting can show up stroke patterns, airbrushing can give it a good matt look :)

  • Handpaint is ugly way to paint this figures, is the worst you can do, easy ways are not for profesional people, easy ways are for the comon and not outstanding ones.

  • @brolyss4 I would argue that airbrushing is actually considerably easier than hand brushing. The problem is that it is a skill that requires a steeper investment to get into. Once you've picked it up though, airbrushing is a quick and easy way to get smooth graditions without spending insane amounts of time.

  • the ears was pretty cool aslo, kindof like taxedermy where you can see blood veins through the nose and ears.

  • the eye look kind of hard to do but it still look great and that is truly will done

  • it was both scary and funny, when he first started the eyes, because he putted in dots XD
