My point is that every president goes through periods of low approval ratings, especially when the economy sucks. Reagan was at 37% at this time during his presidency, when unemployment was at about the same level as it is now. He was then reelected 2 years later in an electoral college landslide. Clinton bottomed out at 45% too before being reelected.
