That is how you know Pacey and Joey truly loved each other...they were never selfish. Now look at Dawson and Joey...always holding each other back, holding each other down, desperately and selfishly clinging to a relationship even when it hurt or didn't work, because they couldn't handle moving on. That is not love that is co-dependence.

I think if Dawson and Joey were the same sex, they would have had the same kind of relationship they had leading up to the start of the series. I think it was because they were different sexes that everyone assumed that their relationship should/would go romantic. I have other thoughts on this subject, but space is limited.

No, she ended up w/Pacey, your right. If you read my pieced together comments you'll see i'm trying to say that the creator of the show wanted her to end up with Dawson, not pacey. But the ex. in charge argued against and won. That why we get such a short Pacey and Joey moment at the end.
I know that Kevin Williams wrote the first half expecting Joey and Dawson to get together, so thank you to that executive for changing his mind! I think he wanted to keep up the suspense until the end, but it probably would have been a bit bigger had it been a Dawson/Joey ending. At least we got the happy ending though =)
