I have quad core intel i7 3.2 unlocked hyperthreading processor & a geforce gtx 570 graphics card & this game lags like hell for me... what the fuck? I can even run JC2, BF3 & The Run with steady 30/60 fps with no hick ups...
@iliketeaa Try the processor trick, basically you start the game, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, start the task manager and go to processes. There you find the NFS: Hot Pursuit process, right click it and click 'Set Affinity...'. Then you uncheck the 1st core, click Ok, go back and check 'All cores' and apparently you should have all your processing cores working with the game.
hey, i have a dual core pc wid 2 gb ram and nvidia palit processor geforce 9500gt 1GB. The game plays smooth with very few hicks..! and average fps is 27..! soon i'll upload a video
@AmirNaeemChaudry This was recorded with the lowest settings possible (apart from the resolution) and it still lagged like hell. I've upgraded my PC now so running it at full res and quality at a smooth framerate is not a problem at all.
What about Alt-Tabbing out of the program and taking a look at the performance section of the Task manager, it MIGHT be that the game is only utilizing one of the processors and therefore giving you such low performance... That's how my PC is, doesn't matter if I change the graphics settings, the performance doesn't change, so for me, at least, it is a processor issue.
@SwiftHDX At least, I'm pretty much certain that it's an issue on the processors, pretty smart putting monkeys on coding, EA. Happens to be that a LOAD of people have the same issues...
@AzureFaint For multi-core processor, remove your processor affinity from first core. To do this, Run Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit then alt+tab out of the game. Load task manager. Right click NFS11.exe and set affinity to all cores except first. Press ok. When first core disabled, set affinity back to all cores. When done - all cores will function properly for this game.
@Kotecek15 AMD processors are very good and so are most of their graphic cards. Just like every other company AMD has flaws, it doesn't mean that AMD sucks.
@SwiftHDX my friend has an Acer Gaming Pc with Core I7 and a ATI Graphics card ( I think its one of the newest ones) and he just can play the games at only 10-15fps more than me, and i have a custom gaming pc, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and Nvidia 9500GT so I think ATI is bad... And another friend has a ATI Radeon 4670 and he can't play oblivion right, the graphics card always crashes

@SwiftHDX Yep, I already tried that & it did the trick for me, I'm now running a steady 60 fps with everything maxed out :>

@AzureFaint Yeah my processor isn't very good. Luckily, I might get a new PC because the fan noise on this one is just as bad as the performance.
