Iam with malcom x Becouse malcom x said no drugs no alcohol no pimps and no dumb niggas. But martin invited all the drugs and alcohol and dumb ass niggas Martin dream was fake dream the same dream the white men had from the start slave niggas malcom x is good man who loves his own people and all he did is wake up black man
The speaker is Cornel West (I believe) who actually is a believer of Malcolm X. This is just rein-acting Malcolm's statement made years ago. Caucasians and Negroes feared Malcolm X because he call for revolution. And many people who are ignorant do not understand that the word "REVOLUTION" is just a call for social-change. White's made the term "Revolution" violent to strike fear in the masses. This country was founded on "Revolution", And the difference between us and them is Skin Color
OK Martin Luther King was not that fat and Malcolm was not that hairy so sorry man those are the wrong guys oh yeah and by the way actually black people were in the military long before WW1 and WW2. The first all black regiment the 54th Massachusetts lead by Colonel Robert Gould Shaw (Caucasian) during the Civil War making their last battle the assault of Fort Wagner being sadly a confederate victory as the 54th lost a huge number of its men but inspired more black infantries to spawn.
I agree. These two actors bear NO resemblance to the characters they're portraying. I know actors such as Denzel are not dime a dozen, but I think they could have done much better with the casting.
i like the summation of a shirt i saw. it read:"I have a dream: by any means necessary!" as someone else said its not "either or "but "both and". both were evolving revolutionaries cut short in their development.
Malcolm X was not militant, its not militant to defend yourself and your family. Thats the image the government portrayed him as and they still do the same today, simply because Malcolms philosophies are a threat to the establishment...I dont remember reading anything about Malcolm, assassinating or bombing buildings he talked about black people having the right to defend them selfs. Even dogs do that, would you call your dog militant.
@samiidris Martin Luther King Jr realized that by becoming violent you became the very thing that you hate, and we learn from love not hate. Has anybody you ever knew that hated you knowingly taught you anything?
@Richy0money Its al nice and politic correct to say this kind of stuff. But if somebody comes to you and beat you the Hell up for the colour you have , you will give him a kiss and love? Please ,
I don't think it should be a case of "either or". Martin was the "carrot" and Malcolm was the "stick". In retrospect, when we see Martin's evolution, he realized that the route he was taking was misguided. His own inner circle left him hanging when he criticized the Vietnam War and backed Ali when he refused induction into the U.S. Army. If you look at the last five years of King's life, it's far different than the "Dream" image that has been projected. So, it's a "both and" situation.
Jeremiah23:25 I have heard what the prophet said, the profhesy lies in my name, saying I HAVE DREAMED,I HAVE DREAMED.how long shall this be in the heart of prophets that prophesize lies? yea, they are prophet of the deceit of their own heart
malcolm spoke da truth. martin was being blackmailed, or excuse me "back maled" typically by the gov't. he had a homosexual gayard rustin backing him. u wonder why he spoke of passiveness
i truly believe Martin Luther King, has done nothing to help the black people. He preached love and peace in a time of hate and violence. KKK members don't want peace, they raping little girls and bombing churches. Martin Luther King did more to help the KKK and racist Organization in preaching peace.
Ummm...if you feel MLK didnt do anything to help the black race, than you might want to start doing some more research. MLK not only helped African Americans, but he has helped AMERICANS in general. Yes he did preach love and peace during a time of hate and violence, and look where AMERICA is today. Yes, there is racism but nothing compared to how it was before. Thats all thanks to people like MLK, Malcolm X, and many other civil rights leaders from those days.
Damn !! Seriously?? Are you black? I mean I'm white but damn. Oh yeah malcolm was right for being militant because it was necessary back then. But sometimes it takes a bigger man to be nonviolent, and that's why whites like MLK better. Remeber he didn't call the whole white race devils like Malcolm did.
I love Malcolm but I also love Martin. Please don't talk about what he didn't do for black people. When you organize black people; when you get stabbed; when you get murdered for black people then you have a right to speak against him. Otherwise, give him the respect he deserves.
Yeah at a book signing a lady approached the table and said "Are you Dr. King" he said "yes thats me" she then stabbed him with a pen over and over again he nearly died.
Well Martin got us to be defencelss and that's what made him not respected by us, the reason why we aprenciated Malcom was because he wanted us to not only be afraid, but to know that we aren't their to be used and abused by Any Means Necessary.

Brother Malcolm and Brother Martin are two of our great leaders and heroes.
Brother Malcolm inspired Afrikans to be united amongst each other.
Brother Martin was getting Uncle Sam to recognise us, but then when it came to Vietnam, he soon began to wake up.
Brother Malcolm was in tune with Afrikans than Brother Martin, because Brother Martin was too much into so-called integration.

@samiidris He was militant... he was for violence when it was needed, but not any unnecessary violence. That is the art of war.

Just out of curiosity, do you think if Jesus existed he was being blackmailed as well when he spoke of passiveness?
