I Really wished they would use this sound for other Konami titles especially for remakes of classic games instead of Bemani greatness for today. WHEN?!?!
DDR is part of the BEMANI series, which includes all of Konami's music games, sadly most of the series have not been released outside of Japan or Asia. The name comes from a shortening of beatmania, Konami's first music game series. The BEMANI logo almost always is displayed after the Konami logo.
I swear it sounds like Konami stole the old-school Capcom jingle, and upgraded it.

@majesta
The sound is ampy.
Too bad the logo isn't; they had it perfect in the late 1980s. They never should have changed it.

Isn't BEMANI known as: "Dance Dance Revolution" in North America? I think BEMANI is what it's called in Japan. I'm not 100% sure.

What gets me is when non-konami games are called Bemani, namely Pump it Up or in rare ironic cases, In the Groove. Really backwards case there.
