To be completely honest, I LOVE Apple products, I grew up with PC, and I switched to iMac and I never regretted it. And as for which is better its really not two things you can compare, I find the Mac easier to use and more efficient and faster. No viruses help a lot and as far as other products, I can't get enough of my iPhone and iPad and I just Love my apple products. Really PC had its run, but Apple is pretty much taking over and not bashing or saying Bill failed. But his time is over.

Ok to clarify this was before Bill Gates stole the OS of apple. He was working for apple as a beta tester and was taking the software and selling it under his name in China. Eventually Steve found out and kicked out Bill but he already had enough money and started Windows.

It's not about which product is better, or is more convenient, or easier to use. That's all subjective, based on the consumer.
What matters is that the producers compete to raise quality and lower prices to ensure that they will sell their stuff.
Before Apple, it was a complete monopoly, with Microsoft charging whatever price it wanted. Now, there is competition, and we all need to thank Apple for that, whether we actually think that Macintosh is better than Windows or not.

@TheInfectous why would i want to upgrade? iMacs have very power components, i don't have to be upgrading all the time, that is dumb. yes, expensive, but worth it. it never slows down like the windows do. Never has to update and doesn't have viruses. windows is annoying, because its always updating, stupid. it takes for ever to boot up. face it buddy you know apple computers are better, you're just stuck in the past. you need to upgrade lol!

@77raymondt When a PC gets out of date you upgrade it, when a Mac goes out of date you need to buy a new one. They do have viruses, they're too slow and they crash more often.

@freecomptechreview Some of those shiny slow hardware are making their ways into the workplace like SAP AG (db terminals), United Airlines (nav charts), GE (field tech), Lowes (point of sales), etc.
As for outselling, Apple's revenue is actually greater than Microsoft's for some time now.
Bill's music devices aren't nearly updated as much. They just get cancelled. Review his keynotes since 2001 at CES and count how many had any impact in the industry.

@TakeItEasyC6 , this praise was largely due to the fact Bill Gates was being paid to develop business software for the Mac, a contract for which he used instead to gain privileged information about the mac os to pirate it and use that info to produce windows, which he sold to various foreign computer producers and by doing so, took away American supremacy in the pc field, and made himself one of the wealthiest men in the world. nothing worth praising in his actions here!

@jamiecoopertv Computer OS systems were inevitable. If the majority of the early ones were not invented in the US they would have eventually been developed elsewhere. Information leaks, computer supremacy (as you put it) was doomed the moment you had outsourcing, hired anyone outside the US and overseas development. The point here isn't understanding computer history, but people and business. Domination of a market is a business question.
