  • By the way, there are many Kazakhs in Tashkent. As you may know Tashkent was kazakh city given to the Uzbek ASSR under the Soviets.

  • These people do not look like Uzbek, and their costumes are not Uzbek, exept for the shape of their hats. And their music is so different from the Uzbek music, it reminds me more of the Kazakh music played on dombra... Oh, maybe these people are Kypchak Uzbeks, successors of the Nomadic Uzbeks.

  • @Alanovna1

Are you sure that they are not Uzbek? Are you sure that they look like Kazakh? Costumes, music, instrument.....? Please, one more 2-3 time again check your thinks, and write.

    Sincerely,

  • @Uzbekmusic They do not look like uzbeks from Samarkand, Bukhara, and Fergana valley. In Samarkand and Bukhara uzbeks look like tajiks. In fergana valley Uzbeks vary in their apperance- some look like tajiks, other have mongoloid features. But these ones look totally different. Plus look at the paterns of their clothing- it is different from the traditional uzbek pattern and the one used by kazakh. Plus their dresses are white, and uzbeks wear colorful dresses.

  • @Alanovna1

    OK. Are you Ethnographer?. :)

I see that I need more knowledge about Uzbek and Central Asian music and ethnography. Talk with any Uzbek or Central Asian musicologist, ethnographer.

Prove your thinks. Convince me that they not Uzbeks and they costumes too. OK Who are they, music they playing and costumes?

I am sure that after your conversation you will understand that here no reason for discuss.

  • @Uzbekmusic In Uzbekistan everyoe, regardless from their real ethnicity is considered Uzbek. Khorezmians are considered Uzbeks, but there are not. Tajiks considered Uzbeks. Bukharian Jews are considered Uzbeks. Even some Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Turkmens, and Kypchaks are forced to identify themselves as Uzbeks. But there are not. If it is the case in this situation, then may be these people are "uzbeks". Or maybe they are the real Uzbeks, but others are not.

  • @Alanovna1

But it not means that they not Uzbek, Kazak. And about music too. At first find the answer to yours abstract thinks with facts. And go on. Go to your first post and give me facts that they not UZBEK, KAZAKS. Give me fact that this music not UZBEK MUSIC, and COSTUMES. If it not uzbek music or not Uzbek castumes, WHERE IS FROM?

Sorry, I don't have a time for this conversation. Come to Tashkent and find me. We will discuss it on a one cup tea.

  • @Uzbekmusic I never wrote that they are Kazakhs. I wrote that their music is very similar to Kazakh. Why you get so offended? And about costumes I made my case.

  • Beautiful!
