The great thing is that Lang Lang plays as if he were the composer himself. He feels the music. Creativity. Liszt played this way so. A touch of a genius. !
I was expecting the usual Lang Lang garbage but I was pleasantly surprised. This is actually very good although a bit rushed/sloppy in the middle section.
@GingiYume Yes, it is. But the name was not given by Chopin himself. The melody in the slow portion is the probably the most well-known. But that's not the entire piece. Chopin wrote a highly contrasting middle section also.
i dont understand these highly produced piano ''music videos''. i get that theyre trying to make it modern and popular but theres gotta be another way
I used to hate him, and then I realized I was just being on a bandwagon, and now I figured out already that he's really interesting and committed to the music, and worth my admiration. True story.
i really begin to like how he plays. srsly. i always hated him because of his overacting and over the top interpretations. he seems to be on the right way now =)
Believe it or not, I encountered this wonderful musician for the first time a few minutes ago, and went looking for an example of him playing one of my favourite pieces on YT. The sound quality isn't as good here as the original example I heard - but it'll do!!
the fact he is an idol for chinese youngsters does bring a lot of them to study the piano. you cannot imagine how many people in china study piano today !!! its a mass effect.... And its good to have a country like this making music and european classical one !!!! this will break communism there.... its a new cultural revolution in a better sense then the one of Mao....
man, this does Lang Lang no justice. It's so heavily edited it almost doesn't sound like him playing. Listen to the one he plays at the Berlin Philharmonic, THAT one is absolutely delightful to listen to because it's him pure and simple at a concert hall.
Merveilleux, sublime, enchanteur !
