I'm glad to see you are promoting this activity, but we are sooooo far behind the ren faires when it comes to equestrian stuff. Given the ubiquitous nature of horses in period knighthood, this seems like a sad reflection on the SCA. Basic equestrian skill should be REQUIRED for knighthood.
The coolest court I ever saw had the king and queen come riding in on a giant clydesdale and percheron, while the populace sat in chairs at horse-knee height. It was awesome!!
@rmcdaniel423 I agree, knights should be able to ride. I wish I could have seen that court. Here in Unser Hafen in the Outlands we have a great equestrian group. This video is a few years old and we now have a quintain and a double quintain. Thanks for watching.
