You can send a message I'll just add you as a friend. I had to block some things due to some childish behavior on youtube. I'm sure I don't have to tell you about that.
Yeah, I still have this CD (had the cassette too) and I listen to it at least 2-3 times a week and it's been damn near 20 years. Loved Gene's original band Marchello. It's nice to hear them play this again. Thanks a million for posting this. I was going to put the original version of this song up on Youtube with just the picture of the CD. Didn't want to get into copy right issues though... Everyone should hear this song though, I still think it holds up today.
I agree totally with your last sentence. There are a few other versions of this song on youtube - hope you have seen them, as well. I tried to send you a msg but was blocked - - - anyway, thanks for commenting, and please think about posting a pic of your Ibanez - sounds awesome!
Please post the song with the picture of the CD, the Rats don't care about the copywrite. I wish I could find a copy of "Marcello", I never heard that...
Interesting. I remember the chorus of this from Gene Marchello's previous metal band "Marchello". I remember it being called "Destiny" at that time though. "Ashes to ashes.....*you are my destiny*.....dust to dust...just let it be.." Sorry - it's been a while and I lost the cassette years ago despite it being one of my favorites. I remember the song "Brown Eyes" too. They were playing at "The Chance" in Poughkeepsie, NY. I *think* they opened for Ozzy at the time. Yeah - Gene can rip for sure.
Good memory! That album was titled "Destiny" btw, and you can still find the cds floating around out there. It's a great song, and I'm really glad the Good Rats have resurrected it!
3 years later, still great, awesome ending!

I added Marchello's "First Love" video just now. It is amazing that yes after 20 years it is still good.

this song was called "destiny" in the marchello masterpiece cd (with keyboards) of same title, also featuring monster ballad "first love"...
