Diesels suck balls. The old codgers and limber-dicked suburban cowboy wanna be's that buy them like the way they rattle and stink like a Semi. They probably like to sniff their own farts too. "Torque" this and "Power" that- the truth is they usually make less power than the base model gas engine. By the time you hot-rod them to make decent power they get shitty mileage and are less reliable than the gas motors.

Diesel engines are used because they are more efficient, not more powerful.

Your a friggen idiot, Diesels alway make way more power than gas motors. They are always more reliable then gas motors and last a hell of a lot longer while still making more power. And actually chipping one up will give it better gas mileage. Look at VW they have diesels in their cars and they get great mileage. look at the fucking credentials of any v8 diesel engine next to a gas one, the gas will have more hp while the diesel has more torque. without torque hp is useless.
