Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
This is a real echo, and something proven over time. It works .. but I may be listening with time aged ears - I'll admit that. Music is a time travel machine, younger listeners will see this as they look back on the sound track of their lives and realise that they do not own the current moment .... it's always moving away from you
Pretty song, but the chord progression sounds disjointed, as if this song was put together from several songs of different creative eras. A pleasant Franken-Song, if you will.
@ 4:50 - 4:56 Does that synth vibrato tickle the inside of your nad-sack too?!? That was the oddest feeling I've not experienced before.
@DancingSpiderman Disjointed? to me its sounds like a hangover of disco progressions which is right for the time. There are no musical rules fortunately but sadly no rules are being broken today.
@maccagrabme Good reply, food for my thot, thanks for the two concepts.
There are some great musicians putting out original songs here on our YourTube, but they are unfortunately deserving artists who receive no radio airplay.
BTW, I heard the theme song to WKRAP In Cincinnati during the 1st half of the song. Cute happy song. I enjoy its sound colors.
I agree with everyone else! And specially about Funk Me Down to Rio. I discovered the RAH Band when I was 16 and I was deffo a tortured teen, now I'm just a tortured middle aged MDAL. Richard Hewson you are a genius.
I am 23 now, and my years are going as we speak. I don't seem able to hold on to them as they gently slide into the void of remembrance. Their trick is that they depart silently and unnoticed.
Unnoticed until we wake up one day and ask: 'Where have the years gone?'
I also have this12" under- rated track from the Rah Band. The early-mid eighties was a great era in the U.K, with many jazz funk bands producing tunes which still stand the test of time!!
As an English guy I am now a little sorry I was in the U.S. in the the early 80's and didn't find out about the RAH Band until just a few years ago! On the upside, I do know The Rippington's, which not many UK people know, who are also a great Jazz band!! (Search on YT!)
this is great! but I also love the 1983 version, thanks for posting it!
