  • We have the fattest poor in the world....and thats fat from not working while being overfed at the same time!

  • @lillatmd I can tell by your statements you probably watch Fox News and do not research what you are saying. I am going to try and send you an article on the facts of TARP.

  • @phillipmarch22 cop-out comment about Fox . I could say you watch MSNBC too. A station who cheers on Assange. Actually I watch all stations-not just what I want to hear-as liberals do.

  • @lillatmd No, I don't watch any main stream media news. I only watch C-Span. Why should my tax dollars go to a needless war that will end up costing $3 TRILLION dollars, (including VA costs), while I am alive? The baggers out there are bitching about a lot of stupid un-true shit, but the biggest one is government spending. Go to wiki and see how much the USA spent in 2008 on the military industrial complex. And they bitch about bailouts. What a joke!

  • All taxes should be fixed sales tax percent. No exemptions. Government should not spend more than it's people give it though this tax. The private owned federal reserve should be abolished. USA should issue its own currency.

  • @zabaditafa ROFL

  • I hear the argument constantly that reducing taxes on the rich creates jobs because the rich then have money to use to create jobs. If this is the case, why were the 2.4 million jobs lost between 2001 and 2008 while the rich were bebfitting from the Bush tax cuts? Shouldn't they have had the money to create jobs with the theory of "lower taxes creates jobs". Also, any jobs created by "rich" people due to these taxes were probably created in China. Thanks!

  • @GDS1581 I couldn't have said it better. Those out there that think that "Trickle Down" economics works is higher than a kite. During the bush years, that is exactly the mind set and yet the unemployment rate is sky high, so obviously that experiment didn't work. What the government should do is tax corporations about 70% for sending jobs overseas. Wa-La, problem solved.

  • @phillipmarch22 I have a spreadsheet with the perfect plan and I have sent it to a lot of people including a Denver TV station and Senator Michael Bennet. Send me your email address and I will send it to you.

  • @phillipmarch22 what hasnt worked is flooding illegals in and buying homes for them and everyone else who couldn't afford it. (clintons community reinvestment act) Our taxes are the highest in the world. Our socialism is failing the country(free schooling with high drop out rates,1/4 children born to illegals, the middle class who now dont pay taxes yet continue to overeat and request back surgery)Its not our 1% ruining the world-its our socialist gov.

  • The CRA had nothing to do with the housing crisis. No legislation forced banks to offer no-doc loans. Don't believe me? Walk in to any bank or loan agency and ask the Manager if they were forced to offer these kind of loans. No regulation is what caused this cluster fuck. Not to mention to greed of these agencies. They thought they could make a fast buck. As for illegals. If we were to deport every illegal, most businesses would shut down. We need reform, but it is a complicated issue.

  • @phillipmarch22 Yes ...if Banks did not agree to give loans out to poor people without assets the gov promised NOT to back them with FDIC certification. They could also be charged with discrimination(ring a bell?) for not lending money if applicant was of color. The banks were forced to give these loans as they would not be FDIC approved if they refused. Then everyone jumped into the game-

  • @lillatmd Again, the Community Reinvestment Act had NOTHING to do with the crash! B-4 the crash, you would have to prove that you at least had a job. Show a pay-stub. Has nothing to do with color. Now if you go get a loan, whether you are black, white, yellow or purple, you have to fill out ALL the paperwork. Same as before the banks and loan agencies got greedy. Discrimination is not the issue what-so-ever.

  • Think about it this way, no matter how rich you are, rich people still need an incentive to create jobs right? That's common sense. If I all of a sudden received a 1 billion dollar inheritance, am I going to go through the headache of creating jobs? or am I going to take a 40 years vacation? Most likely, most will take 40 year vacations...aren't I fucken right? So, I honestly don't know why rich create jobs...but if given the choice of either losing a large chunk to takes or creating jobs..?

  • To finish what I said below, if the rich are faced with two choices, either invest that money back into business or get taxed (through income, estate, investment at exorbitant rates, say over 50%..) then chances are, they might (being as smart and entrepreneurial as they are) might invest them to create jobs...but look at what GOP did...they lowered income taxes ALOT under Reagan/Bush/Bush2, wants to abolish estate tax, investment taxes...and allow cheap jobs in China..so where the INCENTIVE?!

  • Jobs are created by demand...the vicious cycle of allowing the ultra rich to be come even ultra richer means that the only people with disposable income are the rich...so what jobs are they going to create? Limo drivers? Mansion builders? Yacht Makers? Mansion Painters? Butlers? How many of those do the rich need anyways? In the last 30 years all taxes have been lowered and free trade allows rich to invest in China's/India's slave labor market...so THEY HAVE NO INCENTIVE to create jobs!!!!

  • these Republicans just flat out lie and hope that the catch phrase "rich create jobs" will force people to vote GOP...but in reality this nice booby trap is set so that the rich gets to keep all the money they make will still having some incentive to create jobs in China/India/South-East Asia (of course these are lower than minimum wage jobs with the shittiest imaginable working conditions)...once estate tax is abolished, there will be no reason why any of them wants to "create" jobs for YOU !!!

  • @GDS1581 no you can thank the unions for that.

  • but the small businesses of America are trying to keep the Bush tax cuts intact, saying that it will save their business'. People who make 2 or 3 million in a business report this on their personal income taxes and if the tax cuts go away, ity will costs small business about $108,000 a year which owners are saying will put them out of business.

  • @truthtone58 Ummm! We lived under the bush tax cuts and how did it affect small businesses? It didn't! They still layed of workers and didn't hire. So your argument is obsurd.

  • I love how this whole video is made with the assumption that is more important for the government to have money, than for you to have money. But thats what liberals believe. The government is the answer to all problems and is more important than the people.

  • I cannot believe what a dumbass that indian guy is. He is a fucking liar. He showed no statistics on whether revenue decreased for the treasury. In fact, it increased.

  • Income tax revenues under Bush were all lower in comparison to the Clinton years.

Through the end of 2008, total federal tax revenues relative to GDP had yet to regain their 2000 peak. There's broad consensus among even conservative economists that the Bush tax cuts (mostly to the wealthy) have had a substantial NET NEGATIVE impact on revenues, even taking into account any stimulative effect the tax cuts may have had, and any resulting revenue feedback effects.

  • @JesusSavesAtCitibank - Couldn't have said it better! Companies like GE and Microsoft, and thousands more paid $0.00 - None - Nada taxes in 2008 and 2009. Something is WAY wrong with that!

  • @jsgoodfella

No, you're the dumbass. We didn't make back the revenue from the 2001 cuts until 2006. By that time we were run a high deficit for you all's phony war in Iraq. Get an education.

  • @jsgoodfella

    Ha, revenue increased. That's funny.

  • @jsgoodfella Fareed Zarkia is a genius. He never speaks without fully investigating the facts. Watch a couple of episodes of GPS and you will find out. Google articles he has written and I will guarantee you that what he speaks/writes is the truth. No one challenges him. He is worldly and has travelled extensively. Don't like the fact the he is Middle Eastern cloud your judgement of this guy. He knows his stuff!

  • @jsgoodfella Fareed Zakaria is a genius. You can take what he says to the bank. Research what he says. I was hoping that Mr. Zakaria would be on President Obama's team. He is worldly and wise!

  • Clinton put people to work in order to build up wealth through production, that can later be taken away. Bush came in and did his job perfectly, by taking it away. This is a cycle, manipulated by those in control. The last 8 years have been the most profitable ever.

  • @BayAreaLen LOL... the technology boom put people to work.. we can thank Al Gore for inventing the internet.

  • Well, I guess Bush saved a citibank too.
