@Ferior yeh well every1 alredy knows the thais dominate in muay thai and also baukaw is one of the best k-1 fighters ever and u cant even elbow in k-1. The burmese are also some of the best stand up fighters in the world but they arent popular around the world bcoz of the rules they fight in. masato is japanese and one of the best k-1 fighters as well b4 he retired.
When cung unleashes one of his high kicks, you have two options. Block it with your arm and risk breaking it or blocking it with your head, either way you're gunnah get FUCKED up haha

I agree Cung Le is a "flashy fighter" but he really hasn't fought anyone. All of his opponents have been hand picked for him to match him up well with guys who will stand up with him to get a pay check. If Cung Le was in the UFC, He would get pieces of him ripped off and mailed home to his wife. When Cung Le fights real competition, i'll give him the respect he deserves but that won't happen because Strikeforce doesn't have world class fighters. Especially now that Shields is in the UFC

I'm not trying to diminish Cung's talent. The guy is VERY impressive. As good as they come. But it's strange that Fryklund didn't really try to bring the fight to the ground. He's not the first either. Shamrock didn't really try either. As if he was happy to keep the fight standing up?... I don't know...
Cung is a good fighter with kicks, he has solid boxing, but any decent fighter who actually pressures him and has solid boxing will negate the kicks for the most part.
Also his kicks have more of a cumulative effect than, there isn't much power in them. if he fought a tough guy like Jon Fitch who fights at 170 he'd be overwhelmed for sure.
Cung i think would be better served if he dropped down to 170 if he could.

I agree Cung Le is a "flashy fighter" but he really hasn't fought anyone. All of his opponents have been hand picked for him to match him up well with guys who will stand up with him to get a pay check. If Cung Le was in the UFC, He would get pieces of him ripped off and mailed home to his wife. When Cung Le fights real competition, i'll give him the respect he deserves but that won't happen because Strikeforce doesn't have world class fighters. Especially now that Shields is in the UFC

When former Pride fighters made their way to the UFC, very few of them actually saw success. YOU need to face that. It's not a coincidence that the UFC is most popular and profitable. I'm not sure what you mean by not all styles fitting. Fighting is fighting. If your style was any good it could be applied in the UFC

Why would they let a fighter to compete elsewhere with the chance of getting hurt and not being able to compete in MMA. I don't know where you get your info from but you're wrong. He made demands that NO OTHER FIGHTER would ever attempt to make. IF he wanted to fight the real competition, he would have signed. He can fight Sambo anytime, he should be in the UFC now while he still has a little relevance

It is an extremely hard art and style to learn and u either have the reflexes for it, or u have to train for decades. styles like kung fu is another level, something people should aspire to. Cung is a good fighter with kicks, he has solid boxing, but any decent fighter who actually pressures him and has solid boxing will negate the kicks for the most part.
Also his kicks have more of a cumulative effect than, there isn't much power in them. if he fought a tough guy like Jon Fitch who fights at 170 he'd be overwhelmed for sure.
Cung i think would be better served if he dropped down to 170 if he could.
