to respond on the question of the possibility of actors being replaced my CGI people. That will never happen. It is extremely difficult to get a CGI character to move and behave as a real person. A film I saw called "Final Fantasy" starting Alec Baldwin, was the only one so far to succeed in animation to be spot on with human movement. But real people have a need to connect with real life, heart and mind, and CGI people can never give us that connection. CGI is computers, not flesh and bone.
