@kymon117 I think there's a certain degree of beauty in the innocence of a child's voice. The fact that it is so brave, so sure of itself, and maybe oblivious gives it that nostalgia of youth. Remember when you felt invincible when you were little? I think that might be one of the messages of themes this song is trying to get across.
@Izeig I never really thought about it like that, and tbh after listening to this like 3 more times between when I wrote that and now, I actually can see your point of view and agree with it.
@Likiiz yes. Same with another song by A Silver Mt. Zion the one where the kids sing at the end, "When we finally cross the barricades with the angels on our side…". Ruins my itunes playcount for the song.
@ribenawrath .....speak for yerself man. i wont sit down, and i wont shut up. but most of all i will not grow up. yeah, frank turner quote, but it definitely fits.
I love how this kid overacts. At first it's kind like 'aw, cute kid who can't act', but then it makes you feel that it's a damn shame that grown ups can't be that passionate about anything. We all lose our imaginations.
My fellow fans of the Mt.
I love you all.

It would've been nicer of a poem if the girl speaking didn't have a voice that made her sound like a 12 year old...
It needed to be a smooth voice imo. Not hers.
Morgan Freeman would do it nicely.
