@AJBuwalda Don't forget that God promised Abraham beforehand that through that son Isaac he would be a father of countless people. The way the writer in Hebrews reckons it is that he must've believed God would resurrect him. The point wasn't blind faith, but believing what God had already promised, yet a lot of people end up missing that part.

I was taught that God sent his angel to Abraham to stop him from sacrificing Isaac his son. The angel even called for Abraham like if he didn't know where he was saying "Abraham, Abraham where are you!" Abraham then replied "here I am!" Even though the angel probably knew where he was, but still that is how God works with his humans. Pretty sure he is going to be blessed after Armageddon in a Paradise earth with double of what he had in this system, by staying faithful and true to God.

I think a better test would be Abraham saying that he wouldn't sacrifice Issac. The way the writer in Hebrews reckons it is that he must've believed God would resurrect him. The point wasn't blind faith, but believing what God had already promised, yet a lot of people end up missing that part.

1- The obvious: Illustrating prophets and messengers.
It is wrong and forbidden to make representative pictures or figures of prophets and messengers, gradually, you end up worshipping them (think Jesus on a cross).
2- The portrayed voice of God in this cartoon says.. : "For now I KNOW" ???????

Well if you want real historical truth, its actually believed that Isaac was a grown man around the age of 30 and never spoke to Abraham after this.

@lewisgunner1 Do you really think that people would have flown planes into the WTC unless they'd been inspired by religion? Would Scott Roeder have murdered doctor George Tiller without religion? Would the Hutaree Christian militia group have armed itself without religion? Would the Army of God have bombed US family planning clinics without religion? Would thousands of Christian parents throw their gay kids out to live on the streets without religion? Religion incites good people to do evil.
