  • It took me about 7 years to decided to start wearing the hijab, been the trendy and fashionista that I am, it was really hard to make the transition, in a way was hard but when I make the decision was something between Allah and I was wonderful.

  • very cute. headscarf is very nice too.

  • Do you have a tutorial for this hijab style? It's simple yet stunning

  • CHECK THIS OUT: I wear my hijab with my BABY PHAT purse and my stilettoes and my sharlwaz kameez or my abaya and my shades.

  • Salaams sister.

omg this video made me cryy! im one of the girls who want to wear hijab but keep on coming up with excuses :/ . To be honest, i've always been the 'ugly one' and i started wearnig extensions and made my hair all nice, and its the only thing that gives me confidence .. and the thought of not having my hair to hide behind scared me soo badly :'( Mashallah you're so lucky Allah gave you signs like that, i pray as much as i can but i feel so far away from him :(

  • i wear my hijab everywhere kind of but not at school i use to but i don't anymore . what should i do ? :)

  • assalamu alaikum sister :) thx a lot for sharing your experience

I'm at the point of, thinking about wearing hijab now. At this point I'm afraid of the reaction of the people around me, because I converted to islam half a year ago and even my muslim friends aren't wearing it, I know I know.. that's so stupid.. but I think everyone had this thoughts at some point.

How was the first summer with hijab? And what do you wear for swimming? really would love to know :)

  • You are gorgeous! :)

  • Im a crazy hijjaber too.

  • Dude. Sis. Salam. Hi. Make a makeup tutorial?

  • u look so cute in hijab

  • THIS MADE ME CRY MASHALLAH X

  • MASHA'ALLAH SISTER,

May Allah guide us all to the light of ISLAM.

    Ameen.

  • mash'Allah i luv ur hijab, so unique!

  • I congratulate you. I think women with hijab's present modesty and that in itself is an alluring trait. I will admit I have stared at so many women in hijab's on the subway wishing I could muster the courage to talk to them. Keep doing you!

  • I don't understand did you know the meaning of wearing HIJAB PLZ explain or why your wearing HijaB plz i would like to know >>>>>>>??????

  • I could so relate, thank you Sister for making such an inspirational video <3

  • ya

    YaY you go girl!

  • Salam!!!! I love the HIJABBBB do you know what online site I could get it from???

    Thanks :)

  • shouldn't the men wear hijabs too, i mean i think its only fair. They make you cover up in 110 degrees, while they walk around free to wear/do whatever they want.....Islam is not real, any god that allows he's "prophet" to have intrercourse with a nine year old, is a fake.

  • truly inspiring! :)

  • I am a convert and in my latin culture big hair is a must... I have been struggling so much with the wanting to do it becuase its the right thing to do and dealing with my non muslim family (i am the only muslim) and i keep using the excuse of my job! But your list mentioned of pro and cons and only pro being becuase Allah commands it, was a WOW moment..... Allah guide me to take this step in wearing hijab to please and obey Allah (swt)! thanks for this video.. I NEEDED IT!

  • @maradi99 keep going sis , you are never alone you are part of the family all 1.5 billion of us and couting love u sis al the way from london x <3

  • Mashallah <3 you are sooo inspirational.

  • i only have one thing to say MashAllah :) . one should only start doing Hijab who do it for Allah not for themselves!! i have seen girls who disrespect such a beautiful thing! and that really is a low for any muslim!

  • maasha'allah sister! may Allah help u be strong in ur hijab and help it increase ur iman, ameen xx

  • lovely story :)

  • Love your Hijab <3

Any online hijab stores which has that scarf or similar? Love the colours! :-)

  • omg i just found out about u, gurl ur videos are great Keep it up! (:

  • man this was amazing. i love how you pointed out that you weren't born a saint either. i'm not a hijabi myself but i am muslim and have family members and friends that wear hijab. everyone has made mistakes, inluding hijabis.

    ps. love your make-up!

  • congratsss! mashAllah u look beautifu!

  • thank you soooooo much!!! last month i didnt think i would EVER wear hijab! even when ppl would make duaa for me to make hijab easy i would get mad at them bcuz i didnt want wear it! it sounds stupid for me to get mad at someone for wanting god to love me and invite me to his paradise. i seriously think i will wear hijab tomorrow. imm just waiting 4 my mom to wake up and tell her.

  • thank you so much for your video, i started literally like 5 days ago to wear hijab...

  • omgosh... so inspiring, you had me hooked right from the beggining!!!! Inshallah one day soon I will to become a hijabi :)

  • I am happy for you sis! You look beautiful in your hijab mashaAllah.

  • MashAllah........<3

  • Thanks I'll be waiting

  • Plzzz answer quick

  • @khushiagha congrats on considering hijab! IA, i will do a tutorial for the double chin problem :)

  • Salam. Your story is touching. And I've been thinking to start wearing Hijab but you the only stupid thing which is stopping me to do that is"i won't look good" cuz I'm big and have a chubby face so after wearing hijab my double chin will pop out and make me look cow faced. Can you give any tutorial which shows how to look pretty in hijab while being very chubby . That's it,which is a hurdle ,and yeah the under cap (topic under hijab) if it shows out it doesn't look good either on me.

  • your pre-Hijab life and your Hijab story is exactlyyy like mine, kinda crazy! I'm definitely gonna share this video :o)

  • pleezz do a makeup routine video inc products u girls use e.t.c

  • Oh u knew it was me, Gosh I should've been more vague n boring sounding so u wouldn't have known lol. I mean like essential clothing pieces,.. Ones that are multifunctional and u don't gotta layer so much, u know what I mean? I know people say u don't gotta redo ur wardrobe but man I feel like I do so I don't need to layer everything.

  • @hijabisgotswag Sobia, I'm sooo glad you love my story and the book is about the girl who decide to wear hijab in her high school year...I like how it doesnt say that you HAVE to wear hijab but it inspired me and it's fun to read esp in the summer...idk why...lol Where in Texas do you live? I was an exchange student in Texas!!! :))

  • @FatinRose i live in dallas, texas. yeah, id love to grab that book. its interesting to read abt things you can relate to. You were an exchange student here, saweetttt! texas is where it's happening, LOOL

  • this makes me feel bad. I should be wearing hijab, I put it last winter break because I got a sign from allah and my aunt was supporting me, but my dad is tottally against it. He says things like, it is advised not required. People will discriminate against you. People will think you're dumb. Your life will be drastically changed. I don't know what to do. He gets angry at me whenever I bring up the subject. He doesn't even want me to think about wearing hijab. And the more he opposes me,

  • @TheRealSisakun (contd) the more my determination falters. What can I do to convince him. He is religious, even doing oumra as we speek. But he is just against me wearing it. He believes it is not required even though i've shown him the ayi in surah nur. He tells me tht i have to be more educated before i can put the hijab, but i know if i wait until i'm more educated tht will be a long road ahead of me. Since taking it off after last winter break I've been wearing long sleeves.

  • @TheRealSisakun [continued] i heard an imaam say that never be disrespectful to your parents or disobey anything that they ask of you, but in the matter of hijab, you must take a stand with upmost respect, that is the one time when your parents are standing in the way between you and Allah swt. :) There must have been some reason why you took it off and Allahu Allam, but there must be some reason you want to wear it again.

  • @TheRealSisakun What you are going through sounds so devastating, but it must be much more harder in real life. What i can say is, tomorrow your dad will not stand up and answer for you in front of Allah swt. Everyone wil be on their own. His anger may subside over time, he is your dad and you are his daughter. If people will be harsh towards you then you are old enough to know how to deal with that, insha'Allah. Plus, Allah swt be on your side.

  • @TheRealSisakun [cont. 3] I know when parents use that line about educating yourself about islam first then try doing the external type of worship. However, sometimes hijab becomes a big reason behind why we want to educate ourselves. i never knew much about islam except the basics, but after hijab, I have found that I must be well-read on everything and i must know how to represent islam. Please let me know if i can help out in anyway. im always here to chit chat about hijab. - sobia

  • what university did you go to?

  • @TheRealSisakun I attended The University of Texas at Austin. :)

  • wait wait duh my hair still defines me i still visit the salon weekly its just tht i hv to hijab it whn i leave; it makes me sick or lack of better word erked by sis who neglect their appearances since they started wearing hijab, yeah the henna lady, facialist, massuase can still be used jst thinkin uhhhhh

  • @pradahlife at the moment i am refining and focusing more towards fixing myself a hijabi, but once i knock that out, thennnnnn i shall work on looking super stylish at home too. :)

  • Lovely story mashallah ! May you continue to prosper and are successful always in this life and the hereafter inshAllah.

  • @simsimWardeh Jazaka'Allah khair for the beautiful dua, please keep me in your prayers. :)

  • Lovely story mashallah ! May you continue to prosper and are successful always in this life and the hereafter inshAllah.

  • Happy birthday to ur Hijab Masha allah <3

  • @MIZZBORAMA THANKSSS, i celebrated with my wife aka hijab! :)

  • I started wearing hijab 8 years ago just before i accepted islam, i started wearing it because i figured why wait? if i was going be a muslim and change so much of my life it's only natural that hijab would be a part of that. After all if i didnt believe in or didnt see the reason to wear hijab, what does that say about my iman? what else would i disagree with? Of course it isnt easy sometimes but inshallah our reward is with allah <3

  • @mzkeenah that's the spirit. Love your thinking and reasoning for it. I kind of was like that too when i considered hijab and re-embraced my faith...i was like might as well DIVE IN HEAD FIRST :) (or hijab first)

  • Although I'm a part of the group of girls who have taken hijab off, there's no doubt in my heart that hijab is the right way and that it's a must. In fact I've always thought that hijabis were the definition if grace and beauty in my mind. Point of the rant being, I want Ti start hijab again but I guess I'm waiting for a sign or the strength to know that I will not take it off again. Id love to see u talk about like essential clothes for hijabis that could make life easier while still being mod

  • @roseangel877 hey you munchkinnnn! How's it going? I'm glad you are stalking meeeeeee! Remember the roommate i talk about in my vid, yeah that was youuuuuuz! Also, i had to cut out the juicy details, because i was definitely over 15 mins and that's the cut off, but i mentioned how we started hijab together and dived into it being all crazy, not knowing much, haha! Wish i could have kept that part. Gosh, so much to say and so little timeeee! I'm gonna put the essentials of wearing hijab up soon!

  • Sobia, gurrrlllll... You're doing an amazing job. I knew this would be like 20 minutes but well worth it. The part that really hit home for me was where u talk abt ur grandfather and how he was a great person but didn't do farz or requirements of Islam. Another thought that haunts me us in the day of judgement, what will u say to Allah? I can't give a lame excuse of... I was afraid I'd take it off or I wouldn't get a job or I'd be harassed.

  • Great Video ! =0)

  • @gabbypinkscarf thnx so much :)

  • thants amaaazing!!!! i no wot u mean,i always feel like a need a bold sign from allah or ill think of going to what want.alhamdulilah i have been wearing hijab for about 3 years too and its been good.kinda tough at first buh alhamdulilah allah has helped.i would love to c a hijab toutorial on how to wear ur scarf on eid because with my eid suit ive got such a loooooong scarf with it(the suit is one of those loooong ones that are in now in pakistan) and dont no HOW im gona wrap it ,lol

  • @2010sugarpop is your duppatta like one of those slightly sheer kind with the ribbon border which is super in with all the long kameezes and pants? If so, ill be putting up a hijab tutorial for that shortly :) ISA

  • @hijabisgotswag yehhhhhh!its is.jzk for telling me :) xxx

  • Great story sister!

  • @lanalu22 thnx love xx!

  • Salaam, the video was speaks volumes of the struggles that we go through. I am the only 1 in my family/relatives that wears a hijab and its difficult. Two years ago my sister in law got married and i felt obliged to take it off to fit into the pakistani mode. However this year my brother got married and it stayed on at all times and it felt great alham. it will definitely not be coming off. Jazakallah for sharing your video. xoxo

  • @jja2809 Walaikum Salaam, thnx for the support. Honestly, in the beginning i did some funky business with my hijab too, like show part of my hair and what not --- over time, ive just grown to love myself so much with my hijab. I feel more comfy in hijab now than i do without it. Idk what's gotten into me. Suppose momma was right when she said you'll begin to love yourself as a hijabi and no other way. Mad props to you too sis! xx sobia

  • u got ur sign from that sami yusuf song,i think iv just got my sign from your video Alhamdulillah.

I'm wearing the hijab like on&off @the mo but i wish to wear it forever now Insh'Allah as i can totally relate to your video, because i loved my hair styles and my tight sleevless tops and catching boys attention, but ive had enough im only 18 yet but i wish to start now and make it a habit of it Insh'Allah il get through it even though im takin this step alone i'll have ALLAH through it all x

  • @Nyla301 Wow subhan'Allah, that touched my soul. Never thought i could be someone's sign. That's a pretty special place to hold, even better than maid of honor. You are not alone, I'm here for you. If you are up for the challenge, knowing that Allah swt is with you, then I think you should give it a go.

  • @Nyla301 [cont] What better time than this blessed month of ramadan when everyone's hearts are pure and readily willing to accept anyone and everyone. May Allah swt make this journey great for you and may He help you find your worth while wearing hijab, find you a soul mate who loves you with your hijab, and you makes you feel the most beautiful in modest clothing, ameen. Please, please let me know if you ever wanna chit chat about anything im always here. xx sobia

  • @hijabisgotswag Thats really sweet! :D

I've took the step&I'm walking around in my Hijab confidently, seeing as its Ramadan its a lot easier :)

The only negative is re-thinking the whole wardrobe lol

I know thats nothing really, all for Allah (swt) end of the day.

I feel kind of prepared for the challenges to come regarding wearing it.

Once again Thank you v.much i honestly needed this video- its so easy to relate to it on so many levels! x

I hope Allah keeps your faith strong! x

  • Although sami yusuf is nasheed but has music so try listen to quran :)

  • @AishaO14 for sure, it's hard from going to a music addict to nothing at all. I have to ween myself off slowly :) IA, pray for me! :D

  • sami yusuf :)

  • Salam sis, mA, this video is def supportive for me because I'm tryin to steer into the right direction, dress modestly and very soon iA begin to wear hijab. Thank you for your story because it is very much similar to me [althou I will mention that my parents r always on my case to dress modestly, lol]. I know it is going to be a struggle and changes will occur not only within myself but with others around me. I hope wit Allah (SWT) guidance I will get thru this. Thank you again for this vid

  • @miiszfiyahx34 WS, Im so glad that my story could be some source of inspiration. Honestly, my parents were always begging me to just even wear a shawl over my chest, and when i returned one day with hijab, they were like whaaa? It's been a long journey since then, from wearing super tight clothes in the beginning to buying larger sized outfits. What nailed it for me was BEING SPONTANEOUS with my decision, just do it- dont think twice about it, do a trial day, pros and cons, Istikarah! :)

  • Good video! Inspiring!

  • @pkus20 Jazaka'Allah khair, it's more inspiring for myself because I've finally reached 3 years. Alhamdullilah, by the grace of Allah SWT. :)

  • Love your honesty, this can really relate to MANY sisters, thank you for sharing !

  • @roseyunit thank you for watching and commenting. Please do let me know if there is anything else you guys want me to be candid about :)

  • wow wonderful story ma , thanx for sharing .

  • @Solange999999 thanks for watching love xx

  • I just started wearing hijab cuz i found a great book, its called " Does my head look big in this?" Then I just feel like everything lead me to decided wearing hijab. First day of college went crazy, everyone had the same question "WHY??" why are you wearing this? You didn't wear this before, right? Can you take it off? and some just can't believe I actually wear it...cuz of my past..lol but you know when Allah open your heart, It just can happened....Nice vid. xoxoxo

  • @FatinRose Loool, I started wearing hijab in the middle of the week like on a Thursday, needless to say, it was one thing that the Muslims were shocked but even non-muslims i was sitting next to in class were a little weirded out :) Alhamdulillah, they all took it well. I love your story, it's so similar to mine too! Alhamdulillah for miraculous stories like these. What book is this, whts it abt? Me want to check it out too! xx sobia

  • @FatinRose that book was amaaaazing :O

  • @FatinRose OMG i love that book <33

  • Mashallah really like your video and its good hearing some1 story of how they become closer 2 Allah is an iman boost :) great 4 ramadan 2

  • @munamai1 I totally had a different idea of what I was going to do my video on, but I couldn't help but celebrate my 3 year anniversary being married to hijab! :) Alhamdulillah. Maybe someone else will watch this and get inspired enough to start hijab in ramadan too :)

  • Salam Alikum sisters!, i convert to Islam 1 year ago Alhamdulillah, I still don't wear hijab, I would like it but I have a lot contradictions. Sometimes i wear it to go out and sometimes i don't and I feel really weird about it. I don't know if what I'm doing is wrong and if I should keep doing that until I wear it everyday or I shouldn't wear it at all until I'm totally ready..Im confused..please give more advices for girls who just convert and are starting to consider or wear hijab Salam!!

  • @pavlushita What kind of contradictions, hun? :) it is great for you to try hijab on a trial basis. But, if you are serious about it and are kind of like me, a person who can't stick to doing something unless they have made it official, then perhaps taking on hijab permanently is the best move. I knew i would be skeptical and would do a trial, and then wait for some more years, but when i wore it spontaneously with these signs --- i knew there was no return, alhamdulillah. Msg me, we can tlk :)
