There are some bigoted responses from so-called "Christians" to this. Yes, you are all free to practice your religion, but you do not have the freedom to impose those beliefs on others. They are out there for awareness. It was non-violent. Maybe your university should rethink their stances on LGBT issues and civil rights instead of acting like closed-minded hypocrites.

You were given access to the GC which 90% of the student body goes to every day. What other access do you want...to come to class with us. OBU is a PRIVATE no public university. It almost makes sense to get arrested for trespassing on private property huh? I was at OBU (trying to go to class) that day, watching what was happening. It was a non-violent protest, true... but, you were told what would happen if you came onto campus. I'm an OBU student. Every single person who chooses to go to OBU agrees to abide by OBU's policies and to live a Christian lifestyle in accordance with the Bible. Since the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin, we all know before we go there that we can't engage in those activities. If a homosexual wants to go to college and live in that lifestyle, they should go to a college where it's accepted.

Fist, OBU is a private college, they can let in and keep out whom they choose. Second, chapel is for worship ( or homework for some). You were denied entrance bc you weren't a student or guest, NOTHING PERSONAL. Third, as a graduate from OBU (2001), I accept your lifestyle and that it is legal, but I don't have to agree with it and never will. I still will always treat you with respect and dygnity, so do the same for Christians. There are bigger things to fight about in this world -hunger....

I was there talking to these people both times they came.First year they were allowed in the GC(which is the most popular building for students).We had a good time,my friends helped them out,even housed some of the them.After they left they gave us a bad review.when they came back,they were told they were not allowed on campus.

There's a lotta cool people in soulforce. They actually just finished visiting my school. I felt like it was mostly monologue as opposed to dialogue. . .which is what they said they were coming for. Also, a lot of the questions that students were directing towards the equality riders were being beat around the bush. In other words, they would try to answer a question with a question; which leaves more questions.

That is partially true. However, answering a question with a question, and not answering the first question that was posed to clarify what the point of the individual is trying to make isn't helpful at all. It confuses people. I don't have a problem with homosexuals, I know people who are LGBT (I think that's the order? Lol). But there were some ppl here at Gordon who were left without a lot of things unanswered. It was good to expose them to one of the real world components though.

Come on...you know you had access to all lounge, food, & restrooms on the first floor. Not being able to trust your word, OBU restricted you to public property surrounding the campus to avoid possible disruption on campus and of the Chapel service. You chose to create a scene.

FACT:In 2006 OBU gave SF access to Chapel, all of 1st floor of the univ center w/grocery, cafe & restrooms. They talked to OBU students-some met SF w/cupcakes. Untrue info was posted on the Net by SF when they left-restricted to 1 room-unable to talk to students-no food. OBU admin restricted them to city streets/right of ways in 2007 due to the untruths. The rules & consequences given to them in advance were ignored when they left city property to enter the Chapel where they were arrested.

FACT: OBU did restrict Riders to only one room in 2006. FACT: OBU lied about 2006 in 2007. FACT: A Baptist school arrested Riders, many of whom are Christian and some who are even Baptist, when they tried attending a service devoted to the Worship of God. FACT: No one ever has the right to ever deny any person entry to a House of God and a service devoted to His Worship.
