LZ is such a great band, and JP is one of the most influential guitarist. However, his bowing play in concert is intolerably boring. He should think of doing something better and more creative. I thought of it in 70s, and so think the same now.

Not really, I studied it for years and have many of the famous books and even rare ones in my library, but I never practiced anything. I studied it the same way I have studied Christianity in depth, which technically is satanist too - in that it requires "satan" for its beleif system. Page really just dabbled. And as he often said in interviews, he understood very well the value of mystique. All that satanist stuff and records playing backwards only helped the band gain more market value.

'70s.....nothing like it before, since or ever will be again....my ears truly did ring for a whole week later...no noise control back then....Sir James having a whole lotta fun with theramin, bows and acoustics. That band was musically blessed and so were we being there with them.
Unless you were there for live LZ performances the big thing about the bowing sequence was the interesting way they projected the sound of the echo, calculating it to bounce off the stadium walls. I could feel the sound waves go over my head until they bounced off the back of the venue walls. That was 1977, but I also got to see them in Golden Gate Park in 1973. My ears are still ringing!
The early '70s really were the tops for LZ as their live performances are concerned. So much energy! They were so far advanced in the skillful use of electronic gagetry.
That concert at GG Park in 1973 inside Kezar Stadium got all concerts banned from the park until 1987 due to noise complaints from as much as two miles away! I was a staff member at the 1987 Summer of Love Reunion at the Polo Fields too. But that concert was quite a bit quieter!

I have read that he bought Aleister Crowley's castle. It is known to be haunted. Not really, I studied it for years and have many of the famous books and even rare ones in my library, but I never practiced anything. I studied it the same way I have studied Christianity in depth, which technically is satanist too - in that it requires "satan" for its beleif system. Page really just dabbled. And as he often said in interviews, he understood very well the value of mystique. All that satanist stuff and records playing backwards only helped the band gain more market value.

Page was never a 'satanist.' He was into magick and the Crowley thing, but not as to do evil or anything like that. I think he was studying the occult more than practicing anything. Actually, Jimmy isn't a Satanist and never was...he was only interested in the occult for some time before Bonham died...after that he turned his beliefs around and is now no longer interested in any forms of dark or things of an occult manner.

'70s.....nothing like it before, since or ever will be again....my ears truly did ring for a whole week later...no noise control back then....Sir James having a whole lotta fun with theramin, bows and acoustics. That band was musically blessed and so were we being there with them.

Unless you were there for live LZ performances the big thing about the bowing sequence was the interesting way they projected the sound of the echo, calculating it to bounce off the stadium walls. I could feel the sound waves go over my head until they bounced off the back of the venue walls. That was 1977, but I also got to see them in Golden Gate Park in 1973. My ears are still ringing!

The early '70s really were the tops for LZ as their live performances are concerned. So much energy! They were so far advanced in the skillful use of electronic gagetry.
That concert at GG Park in 1973 inside Kezar Stadium got all concerts banned from the park until 1987 due to noise complaints from as much as two miles away! I was a staff member at the 1987 Summer of Love Reunion at the Polo Fields too. But that concert was quite a bit quieter!

Although I don't think I personally know him, Westonelm was verifying that he HAS seen me perform (maybe several times or more) thus verifying that I am indeed a prof musician.
