2009 Corvette ZR1 supercharged at SCCA autocross

I've had the pleasure of driving one of these at an autocross event this past year. So much horsepower is was just awesome! Fastest car I have ever driven, and I own a 2002 Z06!

HP and ultimate grip isn't the sticking point in most auto-x events, btw. Overall handling, driveability, and driver skill are the key parts to going fast on a tight circuit such as this.

So yes, a smaller, lighter car with 1/4 the HP, but 1000lbs less weight, still has a good shot at beating the ZR1.

BTW GM, good job at giving your rep's a $100k company car. That really makes me feel good, knowing that you did that with my tax dollars.

it can definitely go more than 65 in first, and yes a zo6 can go 80 in first im pretty dure it starts redlining at like 85, but the zr1 could possibly even go 90

I dunno wut kind of gearing ur buddy put in his ZO6 but the ZO6's fastest 0-60 times were posted by staying into the throttle w/o an up shift & slamming into the rev lmiter so the car will achieve the 60mph in 1st & if i'm remaindering correctly the electronic cutt off is 61Mph in 1st gear. But that's just wut I read in several mags.
