Winky Wright, Tarver, Taylor X2, All looked like crap against Hopkins. Calzaghe did what needed to be done, he pressure Hopkins through out and late on Hopkins was acting like he had been hit low to get breathers.
It was never going to be a vintage Calzaghe performance because of how Hopkins fights/Holds and spoils. But Calzaghe definitely won that fight.

Joe said he was going to make Hopkins fight twelve rounds and that's what he did. Bernard made all kinds of predictions that didn't come true (part of selling the fight maybe, part loudmouthed stupidity certainly). I can't get over how much stick Joe is taking for winning the fight when Bernard talked and talked such a good fight but then failed to take charge and lost.

like most folkes i agree that joe needs to fight pavlik, more rewarding financially and reputation wise and ,in my opinion, an easier fight as pavlik's style is tailor made for calzaghe.
IVE CHANGED MY VIEWS. I THINK CALZAGHE IS A BIT OF A COWARD. He has to fight Pavlik not a old man at home. He will not even take the 2 fight deal because he is to worried about staying underfeated. HE WILL NEVER FIGHT IN AMERICA AGAIN THATS FOR SURE. Old men Hopkins and Jones are not a step up from a prime Kessler.
