it's funny to think that such an amazing movie was a low budget movie. and this scene, with the best music in the entire movie, was probably one of the lowest costing scenes in the movie. this shows you don't need a lot to be great.
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new album 'Unhinged' which is greatly inspired by Brad Fiedel's soundtrack work in the Terminator series. You can stream or download the full album for free on my youtube channel!
An incredibly inspiring track from a wonderful film that means a lot to me. Great images everytime, it's one of the most beautifully shot films in my book
John Connor gave me a picture of you once. I didn't know why at the time. It was very old - torn, faded. You were young like you are now. You seemed just a little sad. I used to always wonder what you were thinking at that moment. I memorized every line, every curve. I came across time for you Sarah. I love you; I always have.
Everytime I hear this track it makes me imagine a hauntging scene. I'm a lost and weary resistance fighter in the ruins of the termiantor future. It;s night time, I'm laying against a broekn wall, tired and hungry and from out of the darkness comes a figure dressed in a long robe and hood carrying food and water. Thwey kneel down and igve it to me while tending my wounds. I remove the hood and itls my beautioful girlfriend Diana underneath! The scene ends were we kiss!
@eugene680 God, if that one line doesn't tug at the heart strings. Isn't that one hell of a sacrifice to make for someone else? Not to leave just leave your friends, leave your family, to never see them again, but to also make it impossible to return to.... to travel across time itself!! That's a sacrifice!
@eugene680 Reese didn't volunteer, John picked him to go. John Connor knew Reese was his dad and he had to send him back to get together with Sarah for his own sake. Weird, I know.
@eugene680 I've always thought John gave his mom's photo to Reese with the hope that he would fall in love with her. So when the time came, he would be eager to volunteer. My interpretation of the movie might be a little off I suppose.
@zaaz369 Thats actually spot on accept not to fall in love, he told Reese stories, and eventually when Reese was hungry enough, gave him a picture of her.since he probably was dieing to know the legend. like he said "it was a chance to meet the legend".....that and band the mother of the future,.......Reese was lucky man
Instead of ruins you get normality, no war, no poverty, suffering. Only one terminator to deal with, instead of hundreds of them in the future, no HKs...
I'm kidding :) I guess that's something you call the power of love. Not really strange to me, that he did it... falling in love with the photograph is way more amazing :)

I always cry everytime I listen to this theme. It's the part where Kyle told Sarah he came across time for her.

Dr. Silberman: Well, how are you suppose to get back?
Kyle Reese: I can't. Nobody goes home. Nobody else comes through. It's just him - and me.
Amazing Reese would volunteer himself to go back in time.

Remember Kyle and Sarah were hiding in a cave after escaping the police station? Sarah asked him did John sent him back. Kyle replied he volunteered.

@eugene680 or he just knew he could hope Kyle would volunteer, because he knew that he would anyway :D
