  • Holy crap man, if I was a TV network exec I would hire you to do a kid's show or something. I know I'm just some random person on the internet, but that was seriously awesome. You deserve to do this for a living.

  • really good

  • How does this only have 14,000 views!? This was awesome!

  • This is a great video the animations fluid and it has an interesting story.stop motion is boss cgi is just for lazy people who want to make a movie but want it done in a year or so stop motion is an abandon art form which only used by variouse people on youtube, henry selic and tim burton...well maybe more but still.

  • too awesome for words :)

  • LOL! so good!

  • wow, this is amazing, i like the way he talks

  • Just so you know your videos are awesome you are awesome and just all you do is awesome (or as far as I know =) ) This video is just awesomely awesome no wonder you were i top 4 on bigstar =)

  • Lovely claymation i actually love it

    Its brilliant

  • this is actually the SICKEST clay animation on youtube. someone, please get this guy more recognised!!!!! a genuinley entertaining effort here, ill say!!!!!!

  • this is an awesome video (^<^)

  • COOL.

  • i have seen some great stop motions but this is the best!

  • this is one of the best clay animation i have seen on youtube. i can see you put a lot of time into it that makes it so well done. (pat on the back)

  • Hopefully you made some money somewhere off this video. You put way too much effort into it just for it to be shown on youtube. I find even with only 8,000 views it's much better than 9/10ths of the videos I've seen with over a million views. And the best part is your work is entirely original AND G-rated. Something to be proud of. You could have just copied someone's work and made it smutty and got tons of views, but you had something better to show.

  • Thank you very much, really appreciate this comment.

  • I have never agreed with anymore more in my entire life.

  • Dude youve got some seriously awesome videos, ive tried making clay-mations before but they never add up to this. Keep up the good work!

  • wow good anmashun.

  • Ur vids r some of the best on Youtube!

  • ..whoa..

  • . . . WOW XD

  • wow this is pretty amazing=)

  • nice your animation rule!!

  • lolll he pulls out a buska

  • Amazing, i love it

  • that was really awesome! i love claymation

  • r u a profesinal?

  • amazing!!!!!

  • GREAT

  • Hello, i watched ur movie 'magic putty', and everything moves soooo smoothly, did u make it on windows movie maker, and do ur change the duration to 0.125, only i do it and it still moves blocky like.

And how many frames per second do u use, i mean ive done animations before but they have never been really good.

    PLease reply

    x

  • Leave windows movie maker, it's not made for such things, try something made to do stopmotion, just look out on google, you are going to find out a lot programs, and some of them are also free

I for example tryed out monkeyjam for my firsth work

  • Hey, yeah Monkeyjam is what I use to animate, it's free! You can set whatever frame rate you want, usually 15 to 24 is what I use. Editing you can do on movie maker though.

  • you can click on story board, then click on ctrl+a to choose all the pictures imported then right click on speed up double and add to story board.

now it will be 16 frames per second :D

  • funniest thing ever.

  • i know this is kind of a stupid question, but how do you get music in your videos? please, someone help, i would very much like my claymations to have music

  • you can add audio to videos with w/e editing software you computer has[Windows movie maker iMovies etc.]

  • Wow! Amazing! I want to do stuff like that! Now is this "Monkeyjam" free?

  • did u take u fotos then import it into monkeyjam, or did u open to video camera in monkey jam, PLEASE REPLY I AM HAVING PROBLEMS?

  • I had the camera hooked up to my computer while using monkeyjam, and captured the frames with monkeyjam.

  • Amazing! Yeeh u shud totally work for nick or any otha''s. u shud start advertising more.. is it just u, who makes the models and all?

  • what program yu use?

  • Your stop motion videos are amazing. What program do you use to make them?

  • Thanks! I used Monkeyjam (free) to animate and Movie maker (free!) to edit.

  • Can you do some videos on behind the scenes loook?

  • Hey dude, i would love to buy some of your sculptures?

  • Well actually i think i know how he made it look like it floated. might be wrong.

If you notice the ball which it shows never has a gap between the top of the picture.. so it doesnt look bang on in the middle so it cud of had sumthin attached right on the edge which is not on the shot and holding it up

he could of been holding it with the tip of his fingers as it went along air and then showed at a different angle of the snow on the the snowman.

  • yep, there's always something holding it up, you just can't see it on screen. you could also edit out the support after animating, but I didn't use that method on this animation.

  • Nice, What model is your camera.. and i notice in the background when the ogre is talking when he has grown he has that soft foamy type material in the background! simplest things can make a big effect. have you ever worked with styrofoam?

  • I used a Sony Mini-DV handycam, nothing super nice. Haha, yeah it's just styrofoam for his house, simple but it works!

  • This should be on TV on a children's channel. They would really appreciate it.

  • I'd love for this to be on a children's channel, that'd be fun.

  • cool!!!!!!

  • brill. and for the first time, a characters british!!! im british! its cool!!

  • ya, poop on you!

    try again :(

  • Amazing what clay do you use

  • I LOVE THIS

  • BRAVO!

  • Wow nice job, that was really cool

  • this video is great

  • Amazing! How do you get him to walk in the snow without staining the white clay purple?

  • I call this a fantastic winter visionary.

  • brilliant! Must have taken you ages

  • dude, this is some awesome animation!

  • awsome and funny

  • whoa. stop motion?? thats really good! that musta have taken a long time.

  • WOW!!! SWEET!!! Look at my vids and tell me what you think plz! That is so well done, 5 stars! :D!!!

  • yeah he doesn't need to still be living there...

  • well ok thats good and all but why is he still living there

  • is it dat foamy stuff

  • what did u use for the set at the start wen the orge is speaking?

  • The models r awsome, its great.. i am workin on a 5 minute short stop motion, it shud be up in about a month or so!

  • Five stars for righteousness.

  • AWESOME JOB! By far the best animation i've seen on youtube!

  • Thanks! Glad you think so.

  • Dude you are amazing. You should advertise, and get more veiwers. Keep up teh good work. ^_^

  • awesome!! little alan is cute when he is making the snowman

  • HEY DAN.. remember.. from 1:23 to 1:46... I think you used my camera that day because yours was broken

  • hahah! Yes I remember that, you were there too, those were the first shots I animated of this.

  • very well done!!

  • How do you do this without the clay colors sticking to each other and mixing? For example the Purple on the White.

  • omg i didnt know what to expect but it wasnt that, that was absolutely incredible!

you must have had a team working on that!

  • your like my FAVORITE clay animation creator on youtube!

  • He is so cute when he's young...

  • I keep watching this over and over and I love it! Amazing idea!

  • This is excellent!

  • how do you get the clay to not stick to itself and stay without makeing marks on the other clay i use claytoon by van aken i think thats what you use do u?

  • lol thats really good!

  • hey heres a question, i like to animate and ive just gotten into claymation.

how do you make things suspended in air?

    like flying?

    youre really good

  • if you look, there was never anything suspended in midair, only throwing and hitting, when the snow guy is tossing the snowball to himself its accturally stuck to him no floating

  • Best vid i seen in a long time, may i know what prograhm u used to put the pics together?

  • This might be one of the best videos on Youtube. There's nothing innapropriate, there's no swearing, and it has a good plot. Good job, MackProductions!

  • Thank you very much! That's really good to hear, glad you think so!

  • cool snowball fight seen it was awsome whene the snow man got that cannon that shot snow

  • wow cool

  • wow! good job!! Come check out some of my claymations!

  • oh! well that must have taken ages because its so smooth! my camera on its tripod cant move around apart from side to side, but you use that webcam thing dont you

  • also, how do u move the camera around, whilst the cgaracters are still being animated

  • Just very slowely, and move the camera a tiny bit each frame. I don't usually measure it to make each movement exact, but I just try to keep the moves equal.

  • i still dont understand how you make the snowball float in mid air! how do u get it to stay in place when you are swinging it?

  • i watch this vid all the time, its so good!

  • hey tanks 4 ur help the last time i was jst wondrin I've bin experimentin with camera angles on my sets and I cant seem to get close enough to get the ouside of the set from shoeing an u help

  • If you get the camera close, then zoom in a bit you should be able to make it as close as you need.

  • this is amazing!

how long have you been claymating?

  • Why thank you!

It's been 3 years now since I first started, time flies.

  • WOW ONLY three years?

    dang.

    youre really good!

i've been doing claymation for about 2.....but i haven't uploaded any of my really recent ones.

i've kinda stopped for a while

i wanna do different types of stopmotion like with stikfas and other armatures.

  • This is better than wallace and gromit! I love the details and the humour! for the snowballs flying through the air, did you use some kind of illusion?

That was one of the best claymations i have ever seen - well done!! :)

  • Hey thanks!

For the snowballs, they were on thin fishing line, and I just swung them back and forth when I took the picture, so then it blurred out the thread and kept the snowball.

    Appreciate the comment!

  • wow! thats amazing for what it actually is and the amazing effect you produced!!

    -Well done! :)

  • cool

  • Best Claymation video on this site!

  • woo! thanks!

    FACEOFDOOMNESS

  • thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked this. Yeah I used the program Monkeyjam to animate, and Windows Movie Maker to edit.

  • good job. i like it very much! can you tell me which modelling material you used for the character?

  • thanks! I used Van Aken modeling clay for adult Ogre Alan and kid Ogre Alan's head. I used Sculpy III for most everything else, other than all the snow. The snow was all a cheap modeling clay, I think called "Plastalina"

  • hahaha that last shot hurt like hell
