Carlin, you bad-ass son of a bitch! He is one of those simple but inspired and intellectually gifted people, ascetics in their own right. And although he severely criticizes religion he actually is a man of spirit, light years from most of those hypocritical religionists out there. What Carlin is bashing is not the message but the messengers. Philosophically he is a result of thousands of years of lies, distortion and abuse of the truth that we are parts of a whole, a single energy called God.

Actually he was emphasing on the bad policies of USA against other countries. And his some of the comments regarding BUSH was damn right. By using 'DICK' terminilogy he actually meant that USA has started war for unimportant reasons.

Our murder rate is 7 per 100,000 people and yours is 8 so that means less guns more murders, sounds like shit to me. @smurphatron Yes I think it's corrupt when a government won't let it's people defend themselves. There are many statistics that actually show that more gun laws equate to more crime. In Montana where I live WE have a much lower crime and homicide rate where these "evil killing machines are" compared to states like CA where guns are much harder to attain. In your country after looking at nation master a free site you can see your rapes and crime are twice that of the U.S.

Finland has one of the highest private gun ownership rates of ANY COUNTRY even the U.S. and has a way lower homicide and crime rate then either of our countries. Interesting eh? Seriously no wonder things like Rape are half the rate of your country here. Personally if I was walking with my wife or child and someone jumps out to rape them defense is the only option.

@longhairsRcool The lower murder rate in Montana may have something to do with the fact that Montana has about 12 people living in it. You'd have to drive for 2 hours to even FIND someone to kill. Also, the site you point at shows a higher Rapes per Capita rate in the US than anywhere in Europe. Having said all that, I'm also pro-gun ownership (works well in Switzerland & Finland, despite the odd shooting) I just think Americans lack the intelligence to regulate it properly.

If you look at that site again nation master it clearly shows though that in total CRIMES PER CAPITA for all crimes actually Finland and The UK are far above that fort he US personally I think people should own guns to protect themselves but in terms of lowering or raising crime I don't think there is much correlation as crime rates in terms of total crime rates per capita and murder/rape rates are due to much deeper THINGS in a society besides guns.

Montana has close to 1 million people living in it and most of that one million consists of Urban areas like Missoula (where I live) Missoula is a city about 20 miles by 20 miles or so and consists of about 60,000 people and about 100,000 people in the greater Missoula Area i.e. 10% of Montana's population. You don't know what you are talking about dude.

No, I actually see what the deal is. Government is a buffer between the rich and the rest of us. We can make it work for us or we can make it work for them. The rich exploit and that is why the people need government and at the same time the reason why the rich need government (to keep the people with the pitchforks away).
