Dude i did this before i watched this video except for the whole destroy all werewolves thing lol but i just got to level 30 before i got penelo and then everybody else comes at the level that ur at already or higher it only took about 12 hours of gamplay starting out killing Nekbet the rare game cockatrice and advancing to owning anything in reach lol great video btw love the Music Rob Zombies the Shit!!!!!

@videomanmolusque Actually, the fastest way to level up is to run around the westersand with the burning bow and shoot down whatever you see. It's faster than dustia, just ask ulillia, the (I think) first person to hit level 99 as early as possible in this game.

Dude, it must have been a huge pain to get burning bow that early. I'm farming 3 ribbon + 6 foma's in cerobi steppe before going onto sochen cave... it's tedious at the best of times! I'm not looking forward to getting 3 Zodiac Spears..

Ok so I kill both the wolves there, zone to the east and touch the crystal, zone once more to the east and return to find the wolves there again. I kill them but my combo starts back from 0. Why is it that my combo restarts after zoning out twice?

The only way I was "far" in the game when I did this, was that I had played the game for 12 or so hours.

It's true I didn't show the menu, or show any indication of how far I was, but you can tell this is before Penelo, by the last 2 kills. They are fully recorded. If you pay attention, you can see there is NO Gambit option in my menu. You don't get that there until you get Penelo.

Besides, it's really not that hard. I chain werewolves in melee (Hitting 1700's, taking 90's) before I get Penelo with:

Gladius (They're weak to wind, steal from Linbur Wolf)

Iron Shield(Bought in Nalbina)

Traveler's Vestments (See Traveler's Garb Bazaar item)

Winged Helm (Drop from Smiles)

Guantlets/Battle Harness (South Bank Village) or Bangle (Giza's Village)

With that and a reasonable level, you can take out werewolves easy so long as you also chain wolves for LP for Augments.

@ilovethayna This is definitely legit.  It certainly is true that you don't get the gambit option until you get Penelo. When you get her, she talks about setting gambits for her as well as for Vaan. All this means is that he did do it before he got Penelo.

Vaan I just use a Mist attack and kill them be4 i die

That's not the point of killing them. :-p

The point is killing them to build Vaan up so that every other characters comes at the same level as Vaan, or higher, without having to build them up too. Plus the Kotetsu's set your characters up to be powerhouses until halfway through the game.

Go to the area with the save crystal, then go one area past that and head back to the werewolves, they'll be there.

I use the Dustia method; in less then 4 hours I went from lvl 4 to 35.

Sold hundreds of book of orgains, with that money I bought all monographs.

Then I finally really started playing.

If you stole a Gladius from a rare monster in Westersand, you can kill them easily.

If you have the HP to survive their attacks. The bow allows for 1 or 2 hits maximum, so you can usually survive them at an earlier level.

Burning bow is very rare drop from dive talons, start by chaining wolfs then when you get the highest loot level, blind and poison a dive talon ,hit it with your best bow untl its hp be very low and let it die by poison,that way you don't loose loot level neither chain and with some luck you'll get one. (It took me about 6 hours to get my first burning bow)(Sorry for my english :) )

Or, just use quickenings. You should get a Burning Bow after killing 40 of them on average. Shouldn't me more than an hour and a half to 2 hours.

They are at the western-most exit of the Westersands. There are other spots, but that is where you should kill them for a Burning Bow.

Each time I've gotten the bow, it's taken on average 40 Dive Talons before I have gotten it. It's a rare drop, so it'll take awhile, but it's worth it as you're gaining levels at the same time.

As I have said before, Quicken, and if you fail, run and touch the Westersands crystal to get your MP back, and try again. Always save before you try to kill one.

I reached Chain-122 and I've got 2 kotetsu and 3 levels (from lvl 42 to 45!) 99 Quality Hides 78 Earth Stones, the route is from Starfallfield to the Crystal's area to the west, one more area away then return (you zoned out 2 areas, that's the only important thing) lol,amazing video :D

You don't. Quicken them, then save and reload at the Westersand save crystal. If your Quickenings fail, run, heal, and try again.

No I should do that, first make a uber combo with wolves 100+ at least, then you have to kill the dive tailon with poison, that way you get a chain drop without breaking the wolf chain, that way you have more change to get a burning bow. But be aware of the kamikaze attack, that attack can screw op everything.

It's a RARE drop. You have to kill about 40 of them on average until you get one. Might be right away, might take all day. I don't remember when it's an item in stores, but it's definately not until much later than the beginning of the game.

Do NOT walk into the village in the center of Giza, or touch any Save Point. Walk through the Crystal Glade south-east of where they spawn, onto the next area east. Then head back west from there.

They are west of the Crystal Glade (the area where there's a save crystal), and appear in the dip beside the bridge there (as you can see in the video). To chain them, walk to the Crystal Glade, then to the next area east of it, and back again. They will respawn.

How to get gladius... go to westersand and chain 21 wolves and go to small part of shimmering horizons then steal for linbur wolf but beware and good luck

The point of this was just to kill them for levels, so everyone I got after Vaan would be at or above his level, so I could run through the rest of the game with little to no problems with random enemies. I decided to chain them for the fun and profit of it. :-)
