OMG I started writing a script for this for someone and the idea had Will Smith as the green lantern. But I have to say the story was completely different but the bit where the spaceship crashes and he runs to it and gets the ring from the dying Green Lantern is the same.

Then Will Smith did Hancock which was very much the style we were looking for. Oh and the fact I live in Australia and have absolutely no chance... aside from that we had something me thinks.

@ColorfulChaos1 This isn't the final draft. Besides, just a few days ago, WB gave another 9 million dollars to fix the special FX for "Green Lantern". Sony Imageworks & Rising Sun Pics are the primary special FX companies working for the film. One sequence that was entirely CG had been cut in the development of the film, but after the studio saw an early cut of the film it was added back & that Pixomondo was hired to complete the scene. The Special FX & CGI will be fully completed before June 17

First class will cash in on the X men brand , captain america can benefit from nationalism , Thor looks good . Green lantern is both a superhero movie and a SF movie .
