@ed2kou1 When Bill Clinton left office in 2001 the CBO predicted that by the end of the decade we would have paid off the entire debt and have a $2 trillion surplus. Instead we have a $10.5 trillion public debt, and the difference in those two numbers is mostly because Republicans put tax cuts for the rich, free drugs for the elderly and two wars on the layaway plan and then bailed on the check. So much for fiscal responsibility.

@sjofu I think Chris Wallace knows how much of an asshole he comes off as. He can create controversy and Fox knows it. He really is just putting on a show. A lot of the times he has no real comment after they answer a question. While listening to the answer to his question he keeps a smile on his face. It's really just mental tactics into getting on someone's nerves. Putting them on the spot while seeming pretentious. It's a matter of psychology and Chris is a pro at it.. It makes for good TV.

Instead we have a $10.5 trillion public debt, and the difference in those two numbers is mostly because Republicans put tax cuts for the rich, free drugs for the elderly and two wars on the layaway plan and then bailed on the check. So much for fiscal responsibility.
But hey, at least they still have the defense thing, right?
