Im not trying to justify that NC State is a better academic school than Carolina. Carolina is a premier public school with an excellent medical, journalism, business, and dental school. Both schools have their strengths. The students in the ("cow college") College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State are some of the brightest around (Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, and Microchemistry are not cake majors. State has an amazing engineering and vet school as well.
