I like how in the ending Tails just seems like another animal in that zone. I bet Sonic would seem like that too if he were there. It also seems like they could've used a lot more of the screen there.

in sonic 2 the place i survived in was wing fortress, then something happened... i was boarding the ship when this glitch came to me and i fell off, and when i restarted the game it kept happening i kept dieing at the start then i had to restart the file and go back to emerald hill, idk why it happened though...
A lot of people talk s**t that Sonic Genesis boss fights are all very easy to beat, but if you know the tips and tricks here, of course it's going to seem easy.
I'm not entirely sure what game people are playing, but several of these fights were anything but easy.
I really don't see how people are complaining that the final boss is easy - because clearly these people do not remember the first 100 times they fought it. :P
@Dragonnus22 The UK comics gave the explaination that the animals served as Organic Batteries for the Robots. I've always gone with that version.
I assume the capsules at the end of stages were creatures he was GOING to transfer into Badniks but didn't get chance to due to a Blue Spikey Critter showing up.

The final boss is actually named Death Egg Robot. Egg Emperor is the final boss of Sonic Heroes before the final storyline. You can also play this through buying Sonic & Knuckles on Xbox 360. It comes with all three lock-on games which is awesome for the price you pay.
@ThePinheirinhoful That's probably because you're standing in the wrong place. You cannot stand directly underneath him, you have to stand to the side of him slightly. Too far to the right, you'll die, too far to the left you won't hit him. It's about knowing where to stand.

I never legimitately beat S2&K. I got up to the final boss in one playthrough and got game over... so I came back later with the Level Select cheat and beat him. I wish I'd known how easy he is to beat back when I was a kid!
Did you know for the Oil Ocean boss, when he ducks down into the Oil again, you can just hide under one of the platforms and keep jumping to keep yourself afloat? It's easier than avoiding the lasers (:

@Guitarmaster7272 I'm not sure if you unlock it, this guy is playing it on a genesis where Sonic and Knuckles is an add on to Sonic 3, but it also works with Sonic 2
@supashadowmasta27 Against Silver Sonic - do my spindash strategy and he is defeated in a few seconds. He sure to release the dash before he stands up.
As for Egg Emperor, I would advise you to only jump at him when he lands. Spindash out of the way and then run up and hit him.
Knuckles can barely make the jump, Sonic can jump over the Robot's claws when it's walking.
The Emperor alternates between two attacks: Walking towards you and firing off his arms. The former is the best time to hit him.

Both the Wing Fortress and Final Bosses are amongst the hardest bosses in Sonic history, at least when playing with Knuckles. Many people don't even get past Silver Sonic.

In Sonic Mega Collection: What you need to do is open and close Sonic 2 and Sonic Spinball 20 times each. You don't need to play them, just open them up and boot back to the menu.
In Sonic Classic Collection is should be unlocked by default.
Playing on an actual Megadrive/Genesis consoles requires you to plug Sonic 2 on top of Sonic and Knuckles.
To my knowledge you cannot unlock it in any other collections.
The way you killed Water Eggman doesn't work when you have both Sonic and Tails, unless you make Tails fall into the chemicals. Otherwise he will fuck you over every time.

As I said in the video description, defeating Robotnik from the back simply takes practice.
The only portions of Robotnik that are lethal are the Flame, Legs, and Hands.
The jetpack has no collision, and the entire body is vulnerable.
You might have noticed in the video I have to line myself up perfectly in order to hit Robotnik from the back. It will take several attempts before you can consistently pull it off.

The boss names are taken from the Japanese manual, what'da expect.
Not that I disagree. I've always preferred Robotnik to Eggman. But both names are technically correct and canon so there really isn't any point in arguing about it.
Besides you'll find I do use the word "Robotnik" a couple of times through-out the video.

Thats something I didnt understand, this is the game where Sonic and Tails meet, why would the plane say Sonic on it. You would think that it would say Tails or Miles on it. Then in Sonic 3vit would say Sonic. Unless they imply that he puts it on there right before they go into the sky.
Actually, Robotnik is still his name in Sonic Adventure onwards. Since then, Eggman was retconned into his nickname (which he even uses himself), with Robotnik being his family name.
The framerate skips, not a very good thing for Sonic videos as the Sega Genesis used a lot of ocilating graphics (appear, dissappear in tight repitions), skiping the frames made the laser invisible. Why does YT do this?

His name depends on the location of the game. In Japan, it's name is Death Egg, in the UK it's Egg Terminator, elsewhere Egg Emperor... or Mecha Robotnik .. or..
It doesn't really seem to have a proper name. I went with the name that's consistant with the series, in this case, Egg Emperor, which is what the redesigned version of this robot was called in Sonic Heroes.
That was awesome, you killed Robotnik at the end there I don't think I'ld have the nerves to pull that off. Oh yeah have you, or anyone else really, ever had that glitch after getting that extra life at the end of Wing Fortress where the screen locks and when you jump down to follow Robotnik you die, or am I the only person that ever happens to? It doesn't always happen I'ld say about 5% of the time it has to me, wow that's one long comment sorry about that.
The fact it's a mammal and lays eggs is pretty much all it's notable for. It's definately not pink and definately does not have giant hands with spikey knuckles on the end, nor does it glide.

i think ull find that 'eggman' is actually dr robotnik n he was only renamed eggman in the newer series of the cartoon n games etc.

Both names are correct. Eggman is Robotnik's name in Japan. Robotnik is Eggman's name in the US and Europe.
All the recent series has done is retcon BOTH names so BOTH are correct and EITHER can be used.
They're interchangable. I personally use both.

I wonder if for the hell of it could you do a hyper sonic/knuckles run for Sonic 3 & Knuckles? Even just a boss run would suffice.
Hyper Sonic is my favorite part of those games and what makes them , to me , head and shoulders above most other Sonic games.

Thats something I didnt understand, this is the game where Sonic and Tails meet, why would the plane say Sonic on it. You would think that it would say Tails or Miles on it. Then in Sonic 3vit would say Sonic. Unless they imply that he puts it on there right before they go into the sky.

The plane still says 'Sonic' because, according to the plot, the plane belonged to Sonic, but he gave it to Tails as a gift.

Eggman is his Japanese name and Robotnik was his name in the English version of the Sonic games up until 'Sonic Adventure'.

Actually, Robotnik is still his name in Sonic Adventure onwards. Since then, Eggman was retconned into his nickname (which he even uses himself), with Robotnik being his family name.

The framerate skips, not a very good thing for Sonic videos as the Sega Genesis used a lot of ocilating graphics (appear, dissappear in tight repitions), skiping the frames made the laser invisible. Why does YT do this?

His name depends on the location of the game. In Japan, it's name is Death Egg, in the UK it's Egg Terminator, elsewhere Egg Emperor... or Mecha Robotnik .. or..
It doesn't really seem to have a proper name. I went with the name that's consistant with the series, in this case, Egg Emperor, which is what the redesigned version of this robot was called in Sonic Heroes.

That was awesome, you killed Robotnik at the end there I don't think I'ld have the nerves to pull that off. Oh yeah have you, or anyone else really, ever had that glitch after getting that extra life at the end of Wing Fortress where the screen locks and when you jump down to follow Robotnik you die, or am I the only person that ever happens to? It doesn't always happen I'ld say about 5% of the time it has to me, wow that's one long comment sorry about that.

The fact it's a mammal and lays eggs is pretty much all it's notable for. It's definately not pink and definately does not have giant hands with spikey knuckles on the end, nor does it glide.
