It's such an old video, that I think that hissing noise is just the acoustics of the video itself. Or maybe it happened that way when he transferred it over to YouTube.
No it's actually on the video itself. In fact I'm think I haave a program that can edit the hiss out. ithink it might be due to over sensitive microphone picking up an external noise or the hiss of the bow on the strings.
@DrMontague researchers have said that one of the breakthrough ideas in combating stress/other mental disturbances was manipulating heart rate variability. Different emotions seem to produce heart rhythm "signatures,". Companies such as HeartMath, of Boulder Creek, Calif., have developed video games in which winning requires players to regulate their heart rate variability, thus gaining greater control over their emotional responses to stressful situations.
@DrMontague they actually recommend surgeons to play video games because it improve hand/eye coordination - gaming exposes young and old to all genres of music (modern games encorporate entire orchestras, bands, etc even with some of modern days greatest musical minds/composers.]-they relieve stress & make one think and use the problem solving parts of the brain;now days games also more social than ever ; I have made life-long friends i met over the internet ; games are best in moderation..
And if there were music appreciation lessons in school, it is most probable that students that already have an appreciation for classical/other music would join the class and students that don't appreciate/like it would swap out. And if the class were mandatory, students wouldn't actually learn to appreciate music if it was being forced on them. A person has to come to appreciate something on his/her own:)

How absolutely lovely. So delicate. Id it not a shame that children tod ay do not have music appreciateion lessons in Middle and high school. Instead they are taught gaming and how to shoot weapons. What a waste of the fine things in life
Well, i did not had music appreciation lessons at school, i love gaming and shooting as many monsters as possible in a blood bath. I also like electronic and metal music. But i still listen this kind of music everyday. I d say that you may think about the fact that there is no more parental music appreciation, not sosciety one
Hi Bio - Yes. I went through a school that wanted to educate with teachers who wanted to teach. My sister was not as fortuante and my brother even less so. Of course my parents came from a time when someone in the family plays piano or guitar and entertainment was what you made it or from the radio. All gone now. I meant "Shooting (Real) guns" as a school class. that is so more students can kill each other faster I guess. They can't read and write English, but they are good at video games.
We have classical musical appreciation at my school, and as such I am now quite interested in classical music. But yes, I do agree that is it very unfortunate that young people just do not have the love of classical music that they should, but i guess in the long run they are the ones missing out!

what are you talkin about octave?? music classes are requierd from 4th to 6th grade. and you learn different instruments...and the kids that like an instrument stick with it through high school...like me...im a violist and in 10th grade...im in my schools symphonic orchestra and i play for 2 other county orchestras.
In what ways are we "taught" shooting and gaming? In school? Sure, shooting and video games are out there and unfortunately highly popular and easily available... but, great classical music is out there as well, also easly available!
@octave4 that's because goverment is making an invisble army out of the new generation without them knowing about it, they do it in case if the war happens so that all the people are preapred for it and do have certain skills such as how to shoot weapons and kill enemy soldiers....
@octave4 Gaming is actull benificial and innovative if you play the right games (look at sim city, roller coaster tycoon 1 and 2, theme hospital, populous 3, everquest, earthbound. etc) - all of these games have GREAT soundtracks (which WILL stand the test of time and become tomorrows classical to sit next to classics such as this - it is just that todays music is from another time than this music was) - alot of todays games are violent/w/o taste but not all gaming is this way.
@octave4 i agree but not with the fact you said "kids are taught gaming" ... gaming -is- benificial in moderation ; the type of games the kids will want are based off of many factors but if we raise intelligent, bright, un-neglected, friendly, healthy children and teach them love, emphathy, respect and common sense then what is the harm in video games of any kind? violent or not - smart people in general know between real and make believe and can enjoy both that -and- this like many do. =]
@Electricspaceodyssey agree with you that kids know the difference between real and make believe. If kids do turn nasty then it is to do with their environment e.g. poverty, made to feel inadequate because they cannot compete in tougher and tougher examination systems therefore giving low self esteem, the feeling of being worthless. Society has to look itself not computer games for its problems. Computer games are a scape goats when society lets these kids down.
@DrMontague saying 'computer games are scapegoats" doesn't make sense-in my situation ; gaming in general has done nothing but ENHANCE my appreciation for music-I know many others like this.... visit my channel and listen to "universe sensation".... i wrote that when i was 16 [23 now]and cut it myself with nothing but a mic and an acoustic guitar, and thats just me... you know how many other folks were inspired by great music and went on to create beautiful art/inventions and lead healthy lives?
@DrMontague look into will wright [and pre-EA maxis] - people like him speak to the youth of today through his games [and those games had EPIC music which stands the test of time] ; same with folks like cid meyer or other great game designers ; games -are- innovative [think of them like food, some can/should be played more [simcity/mindmaze/etc] or less [gta, doom] than others - some -are- healthier than others too. gaming is progress in the right context - it has scientifically proven benefits
@DrMontague "Some of the truly noteworthy innovations in games shape our experience by creating empathy and stronger connections among players. These games belong in the pantheon of great art forms that can inspire us to be better people and change how we think of ourselves."
Some put down Vivali and Baroque Music in general. I don't though, even though I love the Romantists like Ludwig and Pyotr. But they would also put down Mozart! Ten strokes with the cat o' 9 for that!
