I really love this game, amount of vehicles, size, factions and voiceover is fantastic. It's not easy game though, very fast paced, you need to be very aggresive for enemy or they will outflank and outnumber you. Can't wait to unlock my fav BM 21 Grad and MLRS :D.

@greencurrycamo i know what your saying, but it also had realistic physics and the fact that armor on the front of a tank was more then sides etc. etc. it was plenty realistic. i haven't played this yet so i cant say what it has better, but from the trailer its claims cant be shown/proven/defended and theres no reason it shouldn't look at least as good as a game that came out 6 years ago with a low budget.

@lonespartan31289 I have the game I like it and I think that if you like WiC you will like it. The maps are much larger than in WiC and it has a different feel.  There is a reason that this game is going for $40. I didn't realize how good WiC's graphics are had to look at them again they are pretty damn impressive.

Many armored personal carriers dont have a very though armor, so close range fire with basic fierarms can damage some. Those APC are french VAB, and they are only protected from bullets at the front to retain optiml speed and som amphibious capability. Besides they had unloaded their infatry

@LivingLifeless9 Trust me, that is just in the trailer. Noobs might do that but most stick the infantry in the woods. A couple HE rounds or an auto cannon would have wiped out those troops in the game before they get to do anything significant.

@yrba1 It is slower paced like company of heroes and each unit is valuable. One SAM missile can take out a helicopter full of infantry. One tank shell can take out a tank if hit from the side (depends on the tank). Infantry die easily in the open. I love company of heroes and I love this game.

@ludlamer Just the trailer, the game is slow paced compared to most RTS games. But you have all your units on the map right from the start which is nice. Heavy tank battles end up begin slug fests unless one person flanks the other or missiles are used to crack the heavy armor. watch a gameplay video for a better idea.

the NATO convoy way used to draw the main enemy force out so that the lepoard and apaches can roll in and eliminate them then the apaches were used to draw out the anti air team for the long range supports to take them out. war is a game and soldiers are mere pawns

I recently played the beta for about 10 hours. This game lives up how bad ass it looks. This is the game I have always want to play but never had. It exceeds the epiciness of Total Annihilation battles. It exceeds the detail of Company of Heroes or Men at War. And it is clear that winning has more to do with strategy and tactics on the battlefield compared to StarCraft and Command and Conquer. No base building, you just focus on holding ground and killing enemy units.

@ScarsOfTheCrucifix Men of War is a great game and i will still be playing it but it is not nearly as epic in scale. Sadly in Wargame you can't take direct control of units. On the other hand, Wargame simplified inventories so that a supply truck does all the thinking for you. The things that make this game better is the modern theme, the accessibility, air units, and the pace of the game.

@TheLandazar You are right that the explosions in WiC were amazing. But who drops nukes to take out 5 tanks. Also I love the concept of WiC but I always felt that the units felt toy like since they took damage like a unit out of Command and Conquer. The 'special effects' in WiC but visually, the unit models and the landscape feel more real. Lastly WiC did not have morale which is always an important part of warfare.

@419chris419 The total war series is great but they have not done the modern warfare yet. The maps in Wargame are much larger so you can more easily launch ambushes if the enemy is not using scouts. Modern hardware always for more options. Helos can fly low beside tree like and sneak up on enemy artillery. In terms of realism, I would say it is on par with the total war series (however, your cannons never get stuck in the mud).

@419chris419 I also wanted to say that in total war games, you typically have 1 large army facing off at one key moment, where as this game allows for several smaller battles. In total war, you might have some Calvary off fighting somewhere but you usually still have one large force that meets and that does not retreat, unless you loose moral. So wargame always for a series of battles where each opponent is trying to find the weakness of the other player.

Of course, it's a well known fact that no Warsaw Pact soldiers were issued helmets, and that their speciality was hiding in open fields and waiting for NATO convoys to drive by.

It's also quite convenient for the trailer how they wait for the other side to send something in before they counter it with something else, rather than just bring AA with them and prevent the pointless deaths of several good men of the special beret division.

But oh well, it might be a decent game.
