  • It's nothing new it's called induction it takes place in evrey inductor. We even have Induction cooker same principal only that in a cooker the electricity goes threw the frying pan with leads it to heat up, in other words I can hold up the pan not touching the ground the pan gets hot the ground stays cold...

  • Well dont you have to charge the mat some way along the line?

  • @ttam6 lol

  • fucking magnets, how do they work?

  • @jesuswascommunist They work only if you own a horse

  • WITCHCRAFT!!!

  • Well heres the problem. THE FUCKIN THING USES ELECTROMAGNETS. ELECTRO MAGNETS CAN AND WILL WYPE HARDDRIVE MEMORY AND OVER TIME DAMAGE LCD SCREENS. Wow that was a lot of caps lock.

  • sounds stupid... its just another plug in to your ipod psp or whatever, there is no "wireless" stuff here... =/

  • That's fucking weird, it's draining battery power, going thru the air wirelessly and charging some device, this is fucking trippy!

  • @Lustmord19 its called solar power but then duracell would go out of buissness rofl

  • blackberrys apples and ipods wat a doosh

  • what that guy is stealing from the back ?

  • These things are EXPENSIVE. Seen one in Best buy for about 100 bucks.

  • @dinmagic Thats nothing compared to what it can do.

  • The idea is eventually the bit you plug into the iphone would be inside it, so you just put the phone on the mat and it charges.

  • can u take the charging pads off the product when it is done charging

  • wait a minute WE'VE BEEN HAD there's a fucking wire powering the mat. This video is called powering up WITHOUT CABLES

  • good steap but i shall wait for the destanation

  • wats the point if u have to connect iphone to big receiver?

  • i wish this was like a powermat table cloth

  • just how do you figure it's wireless numbnuts?

  • how much is the damn thing

  • @Icexxxsucker30 its about a hundred bucks it says on another vid

  • ....so if ur gonna take a blacklittle mat plug into an outlet then take the usb converter thing and put it on the mat then take the WIRE AND PLUG IT into your device wat the hells the point, the only somewat usfull one would be for the iphone but u have the bulky anoying case on it, neet idea and design way over priced for such a simple little job my 10dollar cord could easily do

  • the shit you have to connect to the phone or whatever is retarded looking and is pointless...ill stick to my usb charger thank you very much

  • lol dont be jealous cuz u cant aford one toodles

  • haha ill keep my $100 bucks...

  • cant wait for the technology to get smaller and become embedded into the devices automatically. this is the future. imagine having counter tops made of this stuff or walls that can mount devices via magnets like lights or tv's to power the all... epic!

  • technology is getting close. just like the blackberries shutting off when placed in the holsters (magnets shut the phone off)

  • y is everyone bombing this thing....its wireless cause....hello no wires...it doesnt meant you can walk around all over the place while its charging it needs to be on the mat. its wireless and only the mat takes an outlet

  • It's not wireless if you have to connect the devices. It'll be wireless when it's able to charge while we walk around with no extra bulky attachments.

  • I have a nutsack

  • @CRF150Rdude Not for long

  • This isnt a wireless charging system,

Its just magnetic induction, This isnt the point of wireless power, Wireless power means that it could be anywhere, and i flip on a switch on a box and my stuff starts charging

  • who cares you bitch

  • batteries in your devices will die quicker from constantly be charging

  • Hmm i wonder wht would happen if u touched it with metal

  • thats a 40 bucks wasted imo lol :P

  • lol what was the point of building that peace of crap look it may be wireless charger but it is a charger it has to get its power from somewere now if that is a battery insted of the mat then it too will need charging ther is no dam point jsut get up and plug it in lazy gits it simple

  • It's meant to make things safer, and so you have more outlets to plug your things into. These people aren't lazy, and who the fuck uses the word gits.

  • Hmm, same technology as my old cordless toothbrush... ;-) nothing really new with cordless charging!!

  • youre right.. this isnt new ..they made wireless power about 5 years ago.. or more

  • i could see this being useful in coffee shops.. at starbucks u could just sit at the table n put ur laptop on the square on the table at ur seat and use the net not having to worry about ut bat dieing.. people would stay n use the net longer since they charge for it in some locations thats a money making opportunity. wonder how long it will be befor we have truely wireless power supplys. where u can charge ur phone walking down the street without a battery. or drive an electric car wit no bat

  • the thing that is added to the iphone is so big...

it will be so stupid to have something hanging around the phone all the time...

  • apple should buy this company and use the tech to imbed it into there devices, APPLE ARE YOU LISTENING, YOU WOULD MAKE A LOT OF MONEY WITH THIS IN YOUR IPHONE........

  • this tech is very small alot smaller then the device on the back of the iphone just imbed it inside the phone case, im sure apple couold do it with out adding size....

  • IT would be great only if there was no need of the reciever ... probably would be ready after 2020 :)

  • my wireless charger is going to be a plug into wall socket, cigarette lighter, etc. and have a receiver piece to go into whatever needs to be charged. wont say how its powered but no wires :)

  • the main point is not to have any wires hanging around everywhere

  • This guy is full of BULLL!!..what's the point of charging on the matt when you still have to attach something on the back of the phone. It would be faster just plug it in.

  • As he says, one mat plugged in will charge up to six devices at a time.

And you just toss it on the mat instead of groping around for the exact cord amongst the six to twelve wires dangling.

  • everyone should buy powermat

  • they should make addapters for cars that are 5 dollars

  • this ron guy is full of shit, i hate when people over exaggerate when they're trying to sell you something, most of it's advantages are BS(and i'm not talkin British Standards) and the 1 or 2 advantages left over are well outweighed by it's disadvantages, they'd want to be cheaper than chips! although, in sayin that... :O lol

  • your wrong powermat is boss

  • i think that would take of if the receiver was built into the device

  • It will be eventually, but it needs to become popular first before companies will decide to intall a receiver in their products

  • well you never know there has been better stuff than this that hasent caught on before

  • not that cool, now you still have to attach an external device to your native device and apply it to the charging station. Once this stuff is built into devices, it will take off.

  • What your saying is indeed the future. In one of the interviews, Ron explains how a house is being built in Japan in which there are NO circuits or wires anywhere. The technology is simply built into walls and tabletops. This will allow you to watch a TV that is only attached to a wall with no cords. It will allow you to throw your phone, ipod, laptop, etc, on a desk and it will automatically charge. It will allow any kitchen appliance to work by only sitting on a tabletop, no cords.

  • when something seems too good to be true, 99.9% of the time it is, c'mon like, what age are you? don't be a chump all your life

  • As of now the powermat is a step towards a future in which everything will be wirelessly charged.

  • VERY interesting i might buy one wi my itouch

  • its not really wireless is need to be neer it...

  • Wireless Electricity:

Nikola Tesla - The Forgotten Wizard

  • kind of

  • wow, this is a huge step towards powering stuff through the air, like wifi

  • Thats safe, but hows the static electricity? I wouldn't wanna put my iphone over it and touch a metal object, and get a zap... I hate that fuzzy feeling.

  • There is no worry about static electricity. The mat works through magnetic induction between the pad and the receiver (ipods, phones, laptps, cameras, etc.) Electricity is NOT being conducted, so you will not get shcoked. It is way safer then plugging in outlets.

  • cool
