Another sideman, Rob Rio, is playing piano on these tracks, uncredited here. Jagger created a lot of excitement for everyone, i really wanted in on these sessions but was passed over! lol Still AWESOME......Rubin is a great producer and really got the blues out of these guys, Buster Batemanand Jonny Ray Bartel the groove behind this are just awesome. Would have allnight parties with these guys at a house in Silverlake, Poor Bateman would go to sleep in the midst! I'm lucky to have survived RIP L
The band was initially called the Blue Shadows. The original guitar player Smokey Hormel was even better if you can believe it. He had personal problems with other members and later wound up with Johnny Cash. I subbed a few gigs before this guy, i only remember him as the "Kid" came from Texas with the Vaughn thing going on....But the earlier Blue Shadows to my ear sounded more Wofish and Sonnyboy like, the gig was Wed at the King King on 6th St LA? Thursday? No Wednesday, and man what a party.
You can find on internet this cd as Mick Jagger and The Red Devils. The Red Devils was the band of Lester Butler. They played this song five times on the cd.
The really power of the Blues is on this cd.Thank you again!! I'm from Argentine.Good luck.
@doctornoe well you know...its old original and probably rare footage as well.. so the audio might be taken from those old tapes, then put on a CD..leaving us with the original sound...is my wild guess!..:-)
