@rockandrollcello It is a good mic by the looks of it, but not professional. If by terms professional mic means a mic used in a recording studio. Condenser microphones used in studios have XLR connection and use phantom power, and require a preamp system. But this is a good condenser microphone and I am thinking about buiyng it for voice over tasks using screen capture programs like jing pro.

@legomaniaccraz Yes you can use an external audio interface designed for recording, that has a buit in preamp. There are a lot on the market today. I recommend firewire audio interfaces over usb(2) interfaces. M-audio makes good ones, so does Tc Electronics and a lot of other companies. Hope this helps. And by the way they are affordable.

The BLUE Snowball was Rated Better then the AT2020 but it look's ugly as hell. This Mic look's so professional. But you can get the Snowball for about $75.

While that is true, I've found they generally make an effort to try and spell corectly. They may phrase their sentences oddly, bt they wnt b typn lik ths, and in actuality, the people who DO that are only making it more difficult for those for whom English isn't the native language to understand. If they try to run it through a translator or a dictionary, they're not going to get any sense out of it. all the "u"s and "r"s will still just be the letters, with nothing more understood.

Both are pretty much identical (in my opinion) as far as quality and effectiveness go. Audio Technica seems to be a bit more mainstream compared to Samson, so I would go with them.

In addition, you can't go wrong with the sleek design. Fits in well in any setup
